October 3 Update
Added 2021-10-03 22:54:34 +0000 UTCI will be putting out a TLS 0.58.2 at some point, but I may wait until a few people giving piecemeal feedback get through the content again. I'd like the pre-public version to be out for a while so it's thoroughly tested on release. I may make it available to $1 patrons as well.
Anyway, I will get a chance to take a break soon, but I knew it couldn't be this week, so I've been taking care of some business stuff. I'm engaged in negotiations over the audiobook rights for The Weirkey Chronicles, and though it would be presumptuous to call it a bidding war, it's a multi-party/multi-step process. I may actually reject monetary advances in order to fund them myself, which would be one of the larger financial decisions of my life.
Another thing that needs to happen at some point here is more OEA promotion. I'm considering trying to promote the trailer itself front and center, since I invested stuff into that. Are you allowed to put those on Newgrounds? Unsure. What I probably need to do is bite the bullet and put it on Twitter so that art friends there can retweet it. I am very open to suggestions about ways to get that in front of eyeballs. Gotta accumulate more wishlists.
Hopefully by the time the public release is out I'll have also cleared out other issues and will be able to relax a bit. You'll find out next Sunday, I guess.

Audiobooks are very convenient because you can listen to them while doing other things. These days I dont have much time to relax and enjoy a book. So I think that would be very good for you and the fans.

I'm not really knowledgeable enough about this to understand why you might want to consider funding it yourself. Is it just having full control of the money situation once published (like earning 100% or much closer to than working with a company) or something else? Also I'm not sure how appropriate that question may be so if that's not something you'd want to get into that's cool. It's the difference between getting 25% of net receipts from a publisher or 100% on your own. Of course, the publisher negotiates with various people and pays the narrator, which is non-negligible. In this case the best offer is 35% and a solid advance to buy rights to the whole series, so the short term difference for me is significant. But conventional wisdom among authors is that audiobook publishers struggle to move the needle compared to hardback publishers, and I have enough contacts to negotiate the rest myself, so it's a question of whether I think the long term sales of the series will make the earlier expenses earn out. >I'm not sure what to suggest for OEA promotion but I'd be happy to help with whatever makes sense. I don't personally read a lot of reviews for adult games from actual game journalist so I'm not sure how fruitful that is but food for thought? Haha, I only wish I could get journalist reviews. I get moderate attention in the fully NSFW space, where reviews don't seem as important, but I'm nowhere near prominent enough to penetrate mainstream spaces. Those seem to be only projects orders of magnitude bigger or the journalist's friends.
