May 13 Update
Added 2018-05-13 21:25:05 +0000 UTCThere's a new 0.34.3 up on the blog. Fixed reports, plus the Iris threshold was reduced to 40. Anyway, with 0.34.x fully released, it's time to lay out a variety of different things.
So, what will be happening in May? I have begun working on 0.35.0, which will involve the conflict with the Fucklord. Like most of the other events in this chapter, it won't be a massive climactic event, so how to break my plans into segments is a little unclear.
In addition to the uncertain timing on that, I expect May to be a stressful month for me. I would like to work mostly on TLS, but expect I will need to change gears at times. To that end, I have a few things you may be seeing.
I want to get Ouroboros on Steam. I would like to just do it on the 18th, screw any secondary concerns. This hasn't been taking up too much of my time, but I don't like how long it has been on my list. That's contingent on me figuring out the patch before then. [EDIT: For anyone checking this post, it's not happening today. Update this weekend.]
I will be showing a preview of Crimson Gray 1.5 to $10 patrons at some point this month. Another thing I have no more reason to delay on, though the art still hasn't begun.
Finally, it is 99% certain that I will put more work into the stress relief project during May. Unless things don't go as planned, it may reach the stage where I'll want some patrons to help test an alpha version.
This list looks sadly like the one I had for April. =/ But things kept getting delayed for various reasons, so I focused on 0.34.0 instead. But I really hope to move these things off my plate during this month, as well as make major progress on TLS.

Okay, it has been a while since I wrote that, but I think I remember my intent. Dwarves have a strong preference for using their own word for their people - think of it like people who say Español even in an English sentence. But they do understand that "dwarves" is a translation of the same word, hence why some use it, especially if they're used to dealing with outsiders. Because the inscription is in multiple languages, that is why they fully translated it into Clentian. The section in their own language says dwarren, of course, but they also translated their name into the other languages on the monument.

2018-05-19 02:03:32 +0000 UTCAs part of my self-appointed vocation of bringing you the finest in fair trade, organic sourced, handpicked nits, here's a minor technical point I noticed going over the sources for my wiki Timeline page. The monument in the market area of Eustrin has an inscription in multiple languages, including Storgan, that Megail reads as "Today, Eustrin has been Founded for the protection of the Dwarven People." Every other case where the Dwarves refer to themselves in the plural in Clentian, they use the phrase "the dwarren", and in a very large majority of cases use "dwarren" as an ethnic adjective in preference to "dwarven". The exceptions to this I can find are the Dwarven Ambassador introducing himself at the Ardford Summit as representing "dwarven interests", and Neranda seems to prefer "dwarven" as an adjective in diplomatic correspondence and personal conversations. So why would they not refer to themselves as "the dwarren" instead of "the dwarven people" on their oldest monument? It could be that Megail is translating either the Storgan or Dwarren inscriptions, but we have not seen any evidence that she's fluent in either language... Just seems odd.

2018-05-18 22:41:34 +0000 UTCNow that the Anak is (probably) confirmed as another pillar of balance and neutrality the lord of blood (red guy) is the only other wildcard on Renthnor. I hope (in the far future) we can find some reason for taming that last frontier but I don’t see how it could be anything other than glaringly contrived. A fleshed out Renthnor could make the stay in the OE feel more substantial. First, though, we have the church reform/crisis, Erosia surprise attack, conclusion of the Ardoheim crisis, and any number of curveballs. We’re visiting Thenours next so this really is idle speculation.

2018-05-15 21:18:18 +0000 UTCGlad to finally take the fucklord down a peg or two. I would really like a story line where you test your strength against the red demon (forgets name) with the shard. Fighting his army would be interesting. I feel he might fall by the wayside as the other shard bearers are more interesting/annoying.
