I've got another little but nasty bug: When trying to exit the dialogue with orilise regarding the sabotage of farnans trading routes, just "ESC"-ing it leads to an affirmation. Had to re-load several times because of this.

Ah, this kind of thing is the dark side of having good walkthroughs. But in this case it seems like it can lead to a complete dead end, so should definitely be fixed. It could also be fixed by adding Self Switch A to Janine's event, but I think a palace entrance event is a better idea to enforce the plot order somewhat. So fixed, thanks!

When are you trying to unlock the Janine scenes? Let me know where you are in the plot and whether or not you've used the fixer event (the cloaked NPC standing by the Yhilin crystal). If you haven't used the fixer, see whether or not it says you have enough points. If you've already used the fixer, your next chance will be 0.34.0, when the check will be run normally.

Hmm. I hear what you're saying, but feel like the game overall hits the balance I wanted. There probably won't be another section like the chapter 2 free roaming, where the player's actions are counted up, if that means anything. There is no official guide, but the wiki is your best bet.

OK, got an actual bug to report. A chap came through the Wiki forums after getting stuck in Aka's Route. Playing with an eye to the Walkthrough, he jetted out of the Palace at the outset without speaking to Janine on the throne and triggering the event that should have populated his quest log and given him the Rose and Jade Papers. Then he managed to accumulate 3+ Aka Progress by doing the four non-House Rose related sub-quests. This spawned the event page in which Janine prompts the player to have Trin jack her uncle, and doing so moved the event page to her discussion of the after effects of that decision, making it permanently impossible to get the Rose Papers and continue the game. You know what they say about trying to make things foolproof... you'll never equal the ingenuity of a true fool. Decanter and I went over the code (after telling the guy to restart the path and talk to Janine at the start, solving his immediate problem), and we think the fix is pretty easy. Just add an event page to each of the squares at the exit to the original version of the Yhilin Palace that checks to see if the Rose Papers are in the inventory and have Aka say something like "we should check with Janine before going out" and pushing them back out if they don't. Nice to have something be easy for once, eh?

I know this was covered before but I still can't unlock the Janice scenes. I'm pretty sure I've spoken to almost everyone but she still says that we can't rest. I brought all but like one of the house of petitions extras (Heard that was one of the reasons) but still doesn't work.

I really enjoy the game, but one of my main gripes is how I have to follow a guide to the letter to see much of the content. I've had to replay the game a bit too many times to get things i've missed during thorough, honest playthroughs. Now, I don't feel I can play it correctly without referencing an unofficial guide as I experience the content. I'd appreciate it if you maybe considered easing up on super obscure elements going forwards. I'm talking about things like hidden counters on how many steps/ actions you taking determining reveals. All the same, I respect it is your game at the end of the day. Do you have an official guide for the hidden content in this game? I've been following your work for years and will continue to support. Thanks for your efforts!

Well, for being in the shield slot, the DEF isn't that great. I feel the real odd part is that it's not found in higher-end magical shops - maybe because it's meant for fighters and not mages?

Hi, can you be more clear on exactly which screen you're stuck on? Also, when was the last time you played? There has not been an "end of version" screen for several updates, until 0.33x went back to the old pattern.

What's the catch behind the Rune Shield? For its price range, it has good defense, good magical defense, and even some extra bonus on the side. Are the slums' sisters incredible rune mistresses, or in touch with a really good, and not really business savvy, rune smith? Can I recruit this person to improve my army quality? Two unbelievably piddling bugs. (OK, maybe Tal x Plant wins the meaningless competition over these.) 1. Text window overflow on the line added to the Elleani's Estate NG politics breakdown "Our current king is part of the old line..." 2. This is tough to explain. At the ground floor HQ level, if you select a wall format that has what I guess should be called a "Trim", look at the difference between the blocks directly to the upper left and upper right of the throne room down staircases (the parts that make up the doors to the armory and the kitchen) and the blocks that have the same function in the doors from the entrance corridor to the two meeting rooms. The lower set have trim along the entire edge of the doorway from the perspective of the player, the upper set doesn't. I think the intention is to show the trim at the bottom of the wall segment having continuity around the corner, but that breaks perspective, so just making the walls have a uniform trim around the edges facing the player strikes me as the better choice. I checked and this apparently won't be a nightmare to recode. On second thought, this is more dumb then Tal x Plant.

Tal x Plant is because it wasn't tracked whether you got the scene, only whether you fought the plant. To avoid taking the scene away from old saves may be infeasible at this point. Aka's route (not path) is because the slum map got reverted or was never updated in the first place, weird but shouldn't be hard to fix. The missing 2 RP shouldn't be related to the quest stuff, since there's no game logic that checks the quest status and does anything except modify other quest status. Most likely you are assuming you did every possible thing to help the slums when you actually didn't. Just to name two possibilities commonly not done: you must summon demons into the mines, and you must drop off Altina to stay with the slum elves, which is not even possible if Simon ever fucked her.

Most important bug ever: Tal x Plant is available when Simon uses Reflect even if Simon stopped Tal back in Chapter 1. Also, to be confirmed: In Aka's Path, two bullets (Stop a Jade clerk and Stop Inquisition harassment) in the Plight of the Poor Quest never turned green in spite of me cloning the scum clerk and getting the right dialog with Sarai. According to the wiki, I'm also missing 2 relationship points with Janine post-reunion, which may be related.

Thanks to Ionstone, I found a bug. I used some earlier saves and found out that if I go to the Aramite Bountie Center on chapter 4, he adds the quest (even through it's done) to the roster again.

Those objectives are more general guidelines, not quests that can be completed. Therefore, they weren't turned green, though perhaps they should be. In any case, that doesn't mean you missed anything.

Hmm, this is a bit weird. I added a script that is supposed to set the variable to the number of characters in Yarra's menu. I suppose the issue could be there, but this is odd. The scene you reference should only be able to increase the number, not decrease it. The script is run when talking to Yarra in the base. What does that do to the number, starting both at 17 and 19?

Just noticed something weird... my save at start of 33.4 say my Harem Size is 19. But going through Yarra's Harem menu there is only 17 names entered. Assuming Robin is 18th that still leave one member too many. On a bit more testing, using Simon's Reflect skill to run "Sending the Message" scene once again set the Harem Size to 17.

I feel your pain, as I'm in the same boat. But some clever guys have noted that she has no slot in the Leaders section of the harem, if Esthera is on it apparently (of course I personally preferred when the slots in the Harem were not so defined). Also the lack of RPs it's a bad sign, although for quite a while Sarai didn't have a *visible* RP counter.

Found a small bug. When invisible in the Ardford bathhouse you can talk to the clerk behind the counter.

Kalant was going through an identity crisis as I recall when Simon first ran across him. It sounded to me like he, (Kalant), did well in the last war with the loony IK, and did so without the powers of a chosen. That, in and by itself speaks well for him, and using him as a wedge from the other royal contenders is a valid option I feel. But I still want Tyna for my ruler harem, dog-gone it!

This is a little late but I kind of wish there was more of an option to talk to Kalant some more before going and getting him support. I know Tyna has a crush on him, but we don't even ask him if he has a crush on her back or if he even wants to be a contender for the throne.

Yeah... English is lacking a common word that can refer to the nature of sapient non-humans. Not so much of a problem in real life, perhaps, but inconvenient in fantasy. I've never found what I feel is a good solution for this and often have to awkwardly rewrite.

Not really. It's a one-time scene with a 1/7 chance of happening, as with all Blue Rose scenes that aren't just a brief sprite animation.

I'm too old to learn how to Reddit, so I tend to just assume it's full of whippersnappers, scamps and ne'er do wells who are against the natural order of things. At least its more reputable than Twitter, but Mos Eisley spaceport is more reputable than Twitter. Hell, the Fucklord is more respectable than Twitter.
