Your theory on the bug is plausible, I will need to keep looking into it. The Dark Mimic, though, is a puzzle fight. You'll find what you need to beat it not so far away in the pyramid.

Not sure where's the best place to submit a bug report, but... DoW is quite fun so far! I'm playing version 1.0.0 from Nutaku, and had a situation where Eldrick's CG didn't show up. The text played, the background image faded in, and then the image promptly vanished. If I had to make a completely uneducated guess, it's because Eldrick's animated... plot developments continue animating. Unrelated minor issue, but facing the Dark Mimic in the pyramid alone seemed to be an unbeatable battle. Granted, I was around level 20 and probably underleveled, but I got to a state where it could heal itself at the same rate I could deal damage, considering that I needed to heal myself to keep up with its damage. Otherwise, enjoying it all so far! I liked the detail of Trila remembering the bandit ambush when she's heading back home, and the skill system makes the ever-changing party composition more of a puzzle.

Personally, I don't want the official Discord server runs by you (Sierra). But a fan server where people discussing about it is fine.

Certain areas in that region have future plans, but I didn't reflect on the cache. If anybody does backtrack there, it would be better for them to get something interesting. Nice idea, thanks!

In other news, I had an idea for a fun game event you might want to consider. We've had Simon and Riala and Iris reflecting on how things might have gone differently if Iris had defected during the Elven Lands visit in the twisted glen. We've had the gang reflecting on the Magekillers in Bandit Pass. But if you go back to some of the most consequential places in the story in Delgar Forest... Maybe some character building reminiscences at the IK Cache in Delgar would be good.

Also (you probably know this) the action condition for a range of enemy HP and MP values seems enormously bugged on Enterbrain's part. The database UI in VX Ace has a summary page for all enemy actions for a given enemy ID, and a detail window where you can set such action conditions. You can also use an ingame script to dump the same information to a text file. The Withered Husk (Enemy # 121 in the Dark Ruin), has an action called "Mana Assault" that is triggered when its MP are between the following values, based on those three interfaces: Enemies main form: 0% - 1076101120% Enemy Action editing form: 10% - 100% Ruby data extraction: 0% - 100% The slaver ringleader (#42) has a cast heal action based on an HP percentage that is similarly buggy looking. Since these are the only times these action conditions are used in TLS, I'm assuming they were a failed experiment.

Going into competition with Fulminato for most annoying game system question in Patreon comments. Enemy #268, Cultist Defender (I think from the Unforge), is set to use Aura of Purity on Turn »0«. This is the only case in the game where an enemy action is set to occur on turn 0, so I think this is likely an error.

The steam version doesn't have the sex scenes but there will be an easy way to patch them back. So if you buy it on Steam you will get the full version (some manual assembly required though ;) ).

I'll use discord if you had one, I'm on Yummy Tiger's discord as well, but mainly I peruse the NSFW art and watch the BS fly. I stay logged into patreon and have it on my favorites bar so checking in is only 1 click away, but Discord stays up all the time too, so I'd say stick with what you like to do. But if you do decide on a discord server make sure there are rules and moderators to.. I'd say enforce, but that's a strong word, maybe guide the discussion to stay productive.

Although I would use a discord if you had one, I would worry about your focus. I along with my friends that I have brought to this game really enjoy just seeing the progress here every week. If there was a subreddit though I would greatly appreciate that as reddit is a center of many of my communities as well as an easy way for me to advertise and spread awareness to my other friends.

I do appreciate all opinions, so those who are pro-Discord should definitely feel free to share their thoughts! For your case in particular, you should be able to set Patreon to send you emails with the content of each post. I know lots of patrons find this more convenient than logging into Patreon frequently.

For me Discord is a much better way to interact as I check it mutiple times each day. whereas the Pateron I only get round to checking every 2-3 months so I miss an awful lot from you.

Personally, i don't dislike Discord but i think it isn't really necessary since we got the wiki and patreon already (where you are really responsive). I think it would be more of a distraction than anything else.

I'm concerned that Discord may create envy among the goddesses, causing Ivala, the Elven Mother and Anitiala to get into a hissy fit over who is the fairest and most deserves to earn Discord's custom iPhone X. And then, inevitably, Antarion will be chosen to arbitrate and will stupidly pick the Elven Mother in exchange for being given the Lustlord's (AKA Ronnie James Dio) sexiest slut as a wife. Which will activate an alliance among the Incubus Kings and they'll all declare war on Ardoheim but get stuck besieging Ardford for 10 years, yadda yadda yadda... And then Simon will get frustrated with the utterly fatuous nature of the war and want to go home, and come up with cunning plan involving a large wooden badger or something to take the city, and some couple of guys both named after a floor cleanser will both die and some other guy will get shot in the heel tendon and some pretentious blind asshole will write some ridiculously long poems about the whole damn thing... Oh waitaminute, which Discord were we talking about?

Well, that was a pretty strong response on the Discord thing! This is why I ask, though. More opinions are welcome, but I'm unlikely to open a server at this time. I do think you guys are a great group of fans, though, so I'm happy when there are venues for people to interact. There's a community in the IRC, for example, and the wiki is a really nice collaborative project. If anyone else feels that a subreddit or another platform would fill a desire in the community, I'm happy to endorse things like that. Anyway, I hope people also follow and enjoy the fanart! Much of it won't be new to those who have followed for a long time, but you might see a piece you missed or something you forgot.

I'd love a discord, since I think TLS has a remarkable fan base and it'd be interesting to discuss the game with people. My only concern is that you'd feel obligated to spend more time addressing questions and such. If you think you can resist that temptation and let the fans help each other out, it could be a good resource. What it is *not* necessary for is communicating with you personally, since you already do a remarkably good job of that here. Discord is also useful as a source for download links to both your content and fan-generated content (most discords have a locked channel full of pinned links).

Pre-congrats on the launch! Here's hoping it goes well! I'm also opposed to Discord. I don't care for it as a platform and a generally don't like the people who push others to use it. Plus it seems like it would just be another hassle for you. I liked the idea of an endorsed subreddit better if people feel they need another platform, though fir your stuff I've never found patreon to be significantly lacking.

Agreed. You are communicating just fine without discord. As I see it, discord would not generate more players/patreons and take time away from your already busy schedule. It would give the players a place to exchange ideas, but such a place doesn't need to made by you and eat up your time.

Personally, I think you're doing fine communicating with your fans without resorting to Discord. Its an extra distraction that could turn into a time sink and be disruptive to your creative process. That's not to say you shouldn't do it if it is something YOU want that YOU will benefit from, but don't do it for us.

I say there is no need for discord since you are already spread through multiple platforms as it is, and if we need to talk to you we can message you on here and you respond much quicker than other developers so I think your good. Overall, like other people said I see more cons than pros and it would just be another thing dividing your attention.

Discord can be nice for some creators, but with as much stuff as you do, I don't think it is necessary. You are very good about keeping us informed on here, and Discord will be yet another thing you have to manage. For you, I personally see more cons than pros.

Id make it up to you, if you dont want to *don't do it*. It is exahuastive, distracting and time consuming...and thats just setting it up. If you dont have a few people on hand to serve as mods id hold off. You push yourself enough as it is. However, if you do end up doing it, i offer what support i can in settng up and looking over it. It can be fun and uplifting to talk to fans irl and exchange feedback
