December 3 Update
Added 2017-12-03 22:53:22 +0000 UTCI've bitten off more than I can chew, but it's important to me to get this release out soon. Apologies to those of you whose messages I have neglected. I am trying to set aside all potential distractions and focus on working, so this update will just be some assorted paragraphs I wrote earlier in the week:
The new version has a lot of new content. Version 0.30.2 of the game had 1625 files - version 0.31.0 has 1750+ so far. Not sure if that sounds like a significant increase, but those represent maps, tiles, faces, and other things that I hope will make the new areas seem novel.
Crimson Gray finally hit 50 reviews! This isn't the biggest of deals, but it does improve the search algorithm a little and it's nice to unlock the "Very Positive" rating:

For some reason DLsite decided to interview me as their creator for this month. You can find the interview here:

2017-12-10 16:19:20 +0000 UTCAs I understand it is full of various objects that can be used later on for other things. Which means it's like building up a base for future updates. Which is good.

2017-12-08 08:34:35 +0000 UTCMainly mentioned it because I've spent so much time with some of those. Finding and editing a new faceset for orcs can take a little while - multiply that by a whole lot of different assets and it consumes a lot of time. It's different than normal updates, where most of my time is spent on writing.

2017-12-07 23:09:56 +0000 UTCTo tell the truth, before you mentioned it, it never even occurred to me to treat "number of files" as a metric for size of a game release. I'd never even thought to check how many files were in any of my own game projects, let alone any other games I've played.

2017-12-07 15:55:51 +0000 UTCGlad it comes off that way, but I should say that game files isn't a perfect metric for content. For example, I've spent the past several days doing new versions of previous areas, and that didn't add a single game file.

2017-12-06 21:45:38 +0000 UTCCongrats on the interview and CG piquing more interest. Fulminato said in raw format what I thought upon reading that post. An almost 8% expansion in under two months, when you have been doing this for how long?

2017-12-04 21:06:31 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure they actually figured out how to do it with pee, but the sentiment is there.

2017-12-04 18:50:15 +0000 UTCI don't know if it will feel that way, but I'm trying to add a lot to make the new freedom granted rewarding.

2017-12-04 16:38:16 +0000 UTCThe new version has a lot of new content. Version 0.30.2 of the game had 1625 files - version 0.31.0 has 1750+ so far. 1625 file over 30 release ~ 54 file/release 1750-1625 ~ 125 file an update more then two time bigger from the average. impressive

2017-12-04 15:29:39 +0000 UTCJust every so often, what seems to be unbelievable idiocy is actually the malevolent guile of an evil genius.

2017-12-04 04:55:27 +0000 UTCAnd I appreciate that many share your opinion, but there are always many different considerations. I try to do what I think is best for the game long term.
Sierra Lee
2017-12-04 04:54:01 +0000 UTCyeah no worries Sierra, you are doing an amazing job with the game, you have an incredible work ethic that I wish other game devs had, and if it takes time, we know that's because you are going above and beyond

2017-12-04 04:18:43 +0000 UTCThat's a real fancy way of saying that thing I agree with.
Can't Wait
2017-12-04 01:32:27 +0000 UTCThis tumblr link doesn't seem to show the whole interview, and I have the suspicion it would not work if I didn't have a tumblr account. Looking forward to the release. To torture the metaphor, I don't mind you biting off more than you can chew occasionally, when it always seems to get properly digested in due time.

2017-12-04 01:12:48 +0000 UTCI can wait, and excited for the new update. But like Badger said don't push yourself to hard I like your work ethic but don't let it affect your health.

2017-12-04 00:05:16 +0000 UTCAgreed, I love your work ethic. Saying that, don't kill yourself getting this release out. If you need a break, take it. Anyways, I hope you have a great evening!

2017-12-03 23:46:53 +0000 UTCI've said it before, but I wish I had a fraction of your work ethic.

2017-12-03 23:20:07 +0000 UTCFor the opening of a new chapter, I think it's totally fair to expect it to take significantly longer than an ordinary update. I'm probably biased here since I prefer to take the game in longer rather than more frequent chunks, but having all the appropriate pieces in place for the introduction of a new portion of the game seems a lot more important to me than a quick turnaround time.
