May 13 Update

Man, this has turned into a big, scattered update. >.< Scan the sections for the ones you want to read, don't miss the business stuff later.

General Thoughts/Progress

Weird week, not sure how to report it. On one hand, I was personally on fire, and it's been a while since I've been able to juggle different projects and responsibilities so smoothly. On the other hand, while my subjective experience has been good, I think I didn't really meet the benchmarks I'd hoped for by some objective standards. There's lots to do, and it all consumes time.

I have a generally realistic idea of how much I can create over a given period, since I have experience with that. Where I'm still learning is judging the amount of time it takes to do non-creative development of projects. For example, I've done a lot of communication with potential artists lately, and it takes more time than expected. Hopefully you'll see the fruit of it in time.

Meanwhile, I decided to make a major choice: prioritize TLS development over Ouroboros. I assume that's what everyone would want. ^-^ 

Ouroboros 1.1

You should have it in your messages. It doesn't have a lot of fancy new material, just a variety of changes to hopefully make the game smoother. I tried to fix all reported bugs, but I'm more worried about causing new problems with some new features (like reviving instead of game overs).

Because I decided to focus on TLS, that means the public release of this isn't happening today. I'd really like it to be next week, though, so that it doesn't get too close to possible TLS release dates. If anyone wants to do bug testing on Ouroboros 1.1, that should save me time down the road and get us closer to both updates getting finished.

Patreon Policy: Charge Up Front

They're finally offering this feature, at least to some creators! Basically, it would let people join up and immediately get the most recent month's rewards. If you're a current patron, absolutely nothing will change for you.

This seems like a good deal all around, but I haven't made the switch yet because it's permanent and I might as well give it more thought. Sound off if you have opinions, I guess.

My patrons have spoken?

Patreon has sent me an email suggesting that it's been randomly giving some of you a survey asking what you most wanted me to post about. It's pretty vague on their sample size and other details, though. Anyone get a survey like this? If it's a reflection of real questions you guys have, then I'll definitely do a post about it in time.
