February 28 Update
Added 2016-02-29 16:19:12 +0000 UTCIt's been a busy week, but I'm not sure what to say about it. I'm still in the early stages where it's difficult to determine what percentage of the update I've finished.
The upcoming version will have four major components:
- The remaining days of summit voting
- The main Vhala questline
- Various sidequests
- Aftermath and end-of-chapter stuff
I have made significant progress on the first piece and a little on the second. The third is obviously the most flexible and the fourth definitely needs to be last. Right now it's seeming a little much, but that's not uncommon for this stage in development.
I'm feeling good about my plans for the remaining votes. I think if you view the summit as a roleplay experience, it should be fairly engaging but not punishing. Those who want to optimize, however, will have a lot to play with. I just hope the latter group doesn't make the former unhappy with their results - I'm trying to make this a game that can be enjoyed at a variety of levels of seriousness.
