February 7 Update
Added 2016-02-07 19:23:07 +0000 UTCIt seems the majority of voters are in favor of splitting up the next release into two updates, both released to the public. I am fine with this, but apologies to those in the non-insubstantial minority.
Due to this decision, I can say with reasonable confidence that the update will be coming next week. Barring catastrophe, as always. Here's how things will be divided:
Version 0.16.0
- Travel to Ardford, first summit meeting
- 95% of the city's maps and generic events
- Almost all investment opportunities
- Several sidequests
Version 0.17.0
- The majority of summit and plot events
- A few plot or sidequest maps
- One investment that varies based on the plot
- Several sidequests
That's my plan, anyway, and I'm well on my way to finishing the first part. You can see how I tried to divide the content logically: this upcoming update is laying a foundation and filling in side material, while the next update will be all the interconnected pieces. I hope this leads to two satisfying updates despite the division.
Things are in pretty good shape, a decent week of work should have the update ready. See you then. ^-^

2016-02-10 20:52:38 +0000 UTCConsidering a person I recommended the game to can't gush enough and this person played it all in one shot...and did repeats with I think 30+ saves, I think its safe to say you are in no way wearing out your welcome and indeed are giving the indie RPG genre something it's needed rather badly: A fun, immersive long spanning story that constantly gives the players new reasons to get invested and rewards them for that. Don't worry or doubt yourself, your successes speak for themselves.

2016-02-08 00:12:35 +0000 UTCSounds great! I actually think I'll go ahead and use my tax refund to bump my pledge up another level, the $10 level discussions sound really interesting. I also wanted to praise you for such an excellent game. You're already around 10 hours of gameplay and you're not even close to done yet. By comparison, Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World are both finished at around 6-10 hours. With all the value we players are getting out of you, it's definitely worth the monthly pledge amount.

2016-02-07 20:15:14 +0000 UTCI hope that those that wanted the whole hog in one shot will be satisfied with the large amount of stuff the current update plan has. I mean, we have almost total city exploration on a city bigger than Stineford, as many investments as Yhilin starting out, a whole host of little sidequests to give oomph to the exploration, and a meeting to give the tone of the summit. All in all, That's a lot of content right there and I agree it's pretty logical. My only real question in regards to developing content is: Will any/all areas covered by Robin's "Stealth shield/concealment spells" head start research be in the 0.16.0 update? Not a big deal, as that is supposed to be an extra bonus for getting Aka's spell so I don't see the areas being plot critical, but I can see some people being bugged by having to wait for it...and I'll admit I am curious to see how choosing that one will pay off.
