Riverside with Stellina Stampouli

Hi friends, I hope you're all well and having a beautiful 2023 so far! :)
Mine has been a blur of preparing for my next trip, which I leave for in the morning!
I'll be visiting North Carolina and Georgia, neither of which I've visiting since 2017.

I hope you'll enjoy these images taken by Stellina on my visit to Texas last month!
This dress was my holiday gift to myself and I had some images almost exactly like this in mind when I purchased it... it's such a nice treat when you have something of a vision of sorts and it actually comes to life! (Usually I find that, if the photographer or I have an image in mind, we end up with something awesome but entirely different.) I love how these turned out.

Sorry for the short note here, the night is getting on and I've barely begun packing! But I wanted to make sure I got this post out to you before I hit the road tomorrow. I look forward to sharing more very soon.

Thank you all so much for starting this new year here with me. Wishing you all a happy and inspiring 12 months ahead! :)

Thanks so much, Mehdi! :) Wishing you a beautiful new year ahead as well! 🤗

Thanks so much for your feedback. :) I'm sorry that this set was not to your taste. You are correct that these images are not in the style of classic artistic nudes, nor playmate style (although it's unlikely you'll ever find the latter here). Rather, in my opinion, these are portraits. I prefer subtle posing that emulates day-to-day life when modeling for portraits as I think this is more relatable to the viewer and more helpful in establishing a narrative or a scene you feel you might be able to step into. The statuesque poses which often accompany artistic nudes would be distracting in this pursuit. Although I very much enjoy modeling in that style as well. Regarding the white backdrop, I personally love the way it highlights the shape of the branch, which mirrors the organic silhouettes of the treetops against the sky. Thanks so much for being here and I hope the next post will be something that better resonates with you. :)

I found this suite of images very disappointing. The posing was very amateurish. This was not done in a classic fine art figure style, and not in a Playmate style either. There was no story here. The crudely draped backdrop and the broken limb were major distractions. I am sorry if this post seems harsh. I am making my remarks remembering what I learned doing two summer sessions with Joyce Tenneson and one with Greg Gorman at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops in 1995-96-97.

I really love this set...wish you all the best my friend. Hope every day of this year being super beautiful for you because you are meaning of beauty 🌱🙏♥️
