I don't mind you watching the fillers, I actually find them fun and yea between arcs they just take some of the heavyness and its a fun time, and sometimes in those fillers there are some canon stuff hidden, like you said. At the begining of 747 its canon up to the point where Luffy woke up. So grandma is canon and hopefully has a role in the future lol I also have nothing against the idea if you wanna watch filler pre-skip as a break before you catch up
