Promenade Café

2010, Kyiv.
Lee Tattar, Julia, and I ducked into a nearby café to escape the rain. I quickly assessed the setting and the surrounding area, and I realized I wouldn’t have time for coffee because capturing such a unique moment always takes priority for me.

I'll say more. If I hadn't photographed that scene back then, I would probably have long forgotten about that day, that café, and everything else. But here we are, looking at this photo and remembering every minute of that evening.
That's what a good photo does! 🫡✨

In this photo, I substituted a photo of the model. But I didn't do it because I couldn't catch the focus. The focus accuracy was fine. Just Julia didn't hear me and my commands and I didn't like the result of her posing. Next, I was shooting inside the cafe. And then I made a cool portrait. (I will show this photo later). In this picture I compiled 2 photos.

Understood! Thank you!

I agree, it was hard to catch the exact focus through the glass. I had to focus on the banner (which is on the left outside). I hope you understood how it works? Or should I describe it in more detail?

It’s amazing how one photo can remind us of so many things. Do you make any special adjustments when shooting through glass or a window?
