I remember being upset at what they did with Jerome. He would have been great as the Joker, but no. Instead they decide to kill him off and suggest that he is the inspiration for a potential Joker out there? Nope, the idea that the Joker in this universe would be a copy of someone else is an idea I didn't like. He is still Joker to me.

Which I’m sure you knew coz ya know, Yanno, you know. Alfred flirting with Lee is a reference to their relationship in the comics, who knew not me. Not Alfred. Not Jim. Not Jerome. And speaking of Jerome, what a senseless waste! Such potential, Cameron whatshisname was doing such a great job I am left here awash of my emotions. Screenwriter and co-creator of Gotham wrote: I think the Joker isn’t so much a single person as he is an ideology, an idea that we can all live without fear and we can all be free and we can all not live within the world’s restrictions and not live within the rules at all.
