August 2022 - Monthly Renders

Hey folks,

It's been a week since my last post, and I figured it's a good time to discuss how 0.3.2 is progressing. I'm happy to say that everything is going swell, both in terms of my mental health and the amount of content I have so far. I have about 224 renders so far, and I average around 300-350 per month. I am a little worried that the lewd content will be lacking this month, but I think sex is much more satisfying after a lengthy story (maybe it just depends on the game).

I've said this many times but it really is a good idea to take my time with the script. I go back a lot and make edits all of the time (for the better, of course) and I think it really has helped with the consistency of the story. From what I have so far, I'm really happy with the visuals. I've been trying to move away from the traditional VN look and have more angles, poses, and more visual eye-candy with the characters. I think I'm getting better at it as time goes on. This is much more time-consuming but I think it makes the game look better and feel more like a movie. I'm expecting one very, very long story scene and maybe 1 side lewd scene of a character that I'll probably choose myself (or make a poll, maybe).

Regarding last weeks poll, the votes were surprisingly close. It's still a long way to go before I make a new game, but it was nice to see some insight from the community. I think I would probably just reuse KK, even if I would rather try to learn a new program. Like I said, SL is main priority, and it'd probably be better if I stuck with that engine, I suppose.
