Potential spoilers for the og/anime (mostly how all this happened in the anime) So in the og before the assault there's a whole scene about takato (akin) not letting chunta (jin) leave any sort of marks on him, like they make it a point, and at first it just feels like another funny little sex scene moment but when the assault happens and chunta finds those marks.....heartbreak man😭 that's why they did the scene in the shower and specifically jin wanted to cover the marks with his own and mentions giving him marks where he can't see, because that's the rule in the og. I like how the show did this WAY more than the anime because in the anime jin gets very angry and upset with akin and that shower scene happens the day jin finds out akin "slept with Johnny" so it feels really bad in the anime- im so glad they had the resolution first and then let the shower scene be way more mutual. Also its so funny in the og jin uses like one of those dolls that records your voice to get that blackmail recording of Johnny (its the doll that jin has a sticker of on his phone case) so every time he wants to use it as a threat he has to get out this stupid pink doll 😭 im not surprised they went with a standard voice recording on a phone instead LOL 😭 And yes to your point about none of us knowing what had really happened because both jin and akin didnt know, that's exactly what happened in the og too. I think they somehow made you believe it even more in the og tho because they make it a point that akin is fully naked and they really linger on the open condom packet and all that sort of stuff so watching for the first time you're basically certain it happened, the relief akin showed in the remake is exactly how I felt when I first watched the anime and got the reveal 😭 This whole situation was adapted very similarly to the og but the changes they made were great I think, especially for how they've characterised both jin and akin and the subtle differences between them and takato and chunta! Although the play they do in the og was way cooler imo LOL💀 HOWEVER one thing that did break my heart is that one of my fave moments from the anime is that takato puts chunta on a sex ban until the play is done and so on closing night chunta locks them into takato's dressing room and that tension and sex scene (not really sex scene?) That happens there is CRAZYYYY, when they showed akin and jin going into the changing room I thought they were gonna adapt it and then was heartbroken when they didnt 😭 Anyway major props to smartboom my beloveds, the acting in the make up scene in the flat is so....especially boom when he finds out he didnt sleep with johnny GOD it made me cry so bad it felt so real like you said,, oh my boys come back to us 😭 I think there was even more I wanted to say but I'll stop 🙏🏻 I'm a huge massive fan of the og anime it's been a guilty pleasure fave anime of mine for like 4 years so im crazy about these guys
