KosoruCG 2.0 Update

Hello guys, from the start of New Management’s production until now, I’ve left a lot of things unresolved. My plan is to use this February to wrap them up. In this post, I’ll answer all your questions and let you know what changes are coming next. Alright, let’s get straight to the point!

**Special sauce**

Yeah, ever since New Management wrapped up, a ton of people have been hitting me up about the Special Sauce stuff. For obvious reasons, I can’t offer those versions on Fanbox. After the video dropped, so many people came asking for it that I started digging into what the best approach might be. Basically, after a ton of research, pretty much all the data shows that more and more people are trying to share Special Sauce and getting ban. With the Japanese internet police increasingly cracking down on Fanbox, they’re getting stricter by the day. So, putting Special Sauce videos up on Fanbox? Not gonna happen. Let me walk you through the kind of research I’ve been doing.

**Other creator platforms**

Honestly, I like Patreon’s features way more—they’ve got a much better system than Fanbox. But they’ve got a hard ban on all loli and R18G stuff. From what I’ve heard, they’re basically prejudiced against any small-chested women, so all you’ll find there is a bunch of pure love big-boob content. Then look at me—a freaking loli necro creator. I’d get banned in a heartbeat, no question. As for Fantia, I don’t think any supporter would actually like their setup. Want to see an old post? You’ve got to subscribe to that specific month to unlock it. As someone who’s both a creator and a subscriber to others, I think that’s a bit of a cash grab. There’s no need to make it that tough on everyone. As for other creator platforms, I’ve looked into them a little too. The bottom line? Nothing beats Fanbox. Even though I complain about it a lot, Fanbox is honestly the best option out there.

**How about putting the Special Sauce content on the cloud like we used to?**

Basically, there are two big things to consider with this. First, you’d have to figure out who gets access to the content and who doesn’t. That means dealing with a bunch of authentication, identity groups, or eligibility stuff. But Fanbox doesn’t integrate with any external programs, so it’s such a time sink that I’d rather just make it free for everyone to see (I’ll get into that in the later section). Second, if I did go back to how things were and put all the Special Sauce content in something like the “Past Works” I used to offer, letting everyone watch it for free, there’d be another issue: the time cost.

**The technical difficulties of creating different versions of videos**

Trust me, if Fanbox didn’t ban uncensored content, I’d slap 1K uncensored videos right into the 500-yen tier for everyone to see—it’d be so much easier that way. Let me break down how those mosaics come to be. Basically, to keep the mosaics covering what Fanbox wants hidden, I either swap the object’s texture straight to a mosaic texture or stick a transparent mosaic-textured sphere onto the female character’s crotch. That crap is a total pain because, obviously, the video doesn’t have mosaics when it’s first made. So, I have to start with an uncensored version, then tweak the animation scenes for Fanbox’s rules by adding mosaics, record it, and edit a mosaiced version. And if people want the uncensored stuff, I’d have to rerun the scene, record it again, and edit another version without mosaics. The thing is, with how complex the animations and effects are, even my 5080 GPU paired with a 9900X CPU drops frames. That means I’m stuck re-recording and re-editing, which eats up even more time. If I made two versions of every video, it’d be insanely time-consuming—and for what? Just the difference of having mosaics or not. I think the payoff’s way too low, and I really don’t want to bother. So, I came up with a solution for this.

**The solution**

Okay, so we’ve figured out that dropping Special Sauce on Fanbox is a no-go—you’d get banned instantly. Plus, nudging people to download it elsewhere is also against the rules, and a bunch of folks have already gotten caught. Right now, there’s no platform out there better than Fanbox for uploading this kind of content, so I’m stuck working with them for now. But every time I finish a new video, having to go back and record another uncensored version feels like a giant waste of time. I don’t want to deal with it, and honestly, it’s not like people are getting anything that amazing out of it anyway—so it’s just not worth the effort. So, what’s the fix?

"I’m rolling out a 1500 yen subscription plan to create a tier for advanced users."

**Advanced subscription plan**

This new subscription plan will include a DaVinci Resolve file. You’ve probably seen how some creators share PDF files of their work for you to open in Photoshop—not to teach you how to draw in Photoshop, but for a purpose most people already get. So, with this new plan, the file you get can be opened in DaVinci, and it’ll be a video with layers. One of those layers will be completely black, so when you open the file, all you have to do is delete that top black layer, and you can export a 2K video with the Special Sauce included. That’s everything in the advanced subscription plan.

**That’s it? no more content, just 2K and Special Sauce?**

Yep, that’s it. A bunch of people have asked if the 3000-yen plan comes with longer videos, or some have suggested I should roll out more subscription tiers because they want more content. First off, I really appreciate how much they enjoy my work and want more of it. But here’s the thing: “Launching a pricier plan isn’t going to get you longer videos.”

Let me break this down. Say my max output is one minute of animation per month. If you’re hoping to see more than that, only one thing would happen: I’d launch a 1500-yen plan and tell you subscribing to it gets you more video, while the 500-yen folks only get 40 seconds. So, in reality, it’s not that you’re getting more—it’s that the 500-yen subscribers are getting less. You’d just end up paying more without actually seeing more animation, because I’m already giving everything I’ve got. One minute a month is my limit, so more isn’t possible. Plus, the 500-yen tier would end up with even less content, and that’s not what I want.

**Why didn’t make 2K videos before?**

If you’ve checked out my past work, you’d notice some of it’s in 2K, and a few pieces even hit a ridiculous 1GB. That forced me to stash the videos on sketchy sites like MediaFire, where you’d have to crawl through a super slow download for a 1GB file—it’s basically torture. Ever since Rat, I haven’t put out any 2K videos. Why? Well, I ran a poll on Twitter back then asking people about the devices they use. About 50% were on phones, 40% had 1K screens, and the rest—2K, laptops, or tablets—made up maybe 10%. So, making 2K videos would tank download speeds for most people. Plus, you can’t watch them directly on Fanbox because of their 300MB upload limit, so you’d have to go elsewhere or download a zip file. I think that’s pretty unfriendly for regular users—you subscribe to someone, they drop a new video, and it’s a zip file stuck on Google, Mega, or wherever, and you’ve got to download and unzip it just to watch. So, post-Rat, no more 2K versions. Two reasons: First, the scene complexity shot up back then, and my computer was struggling to keep up. Second, like I said, Fanbox’s 300MB limit. A 2K video would definitely blow past that, meaning it couldn’t stay on Fanbox—you’d have to grab it from somewhere else.

**Who’s this 1500-yen advanced subscription plan for?**

From my perspective as a subscriber myself, I’d find it pretty annoying if I subscribed to someone and they stuffed everything into a zip file that I had to download from some other site. That’s why I originally made all my videos in 1080p and uploaded them straight to Fanbox—so everyone could just play them right there. I think that’s the most convenient setup, and it’s why I stuck with that format back then. But now, if people want 2K versions or even Special Sauce videos, I figure those who have that kind of demand probably won’t mind an extra step or two—kind of like the folks who subscribe for Photoshop PDF files. So, this advanced plan is for people who want 2K videos and Special Sauce, and don’t mind spending a bit more time to access and export the files. But there’s no extra video length or anything like that.

**Will there be any changes to the 500 or 3000 yen plans?**

Nope, everything stays exactly the same as before.

**When will this 1500-yen plan show up?**

I’m planning for March, or maybe even sooner, depending on how quickly I can wrap up the last few details. Once the plan rolls out, every video will come with a 2K Special Sauce version, but it’ll be tucked inside a DaVinci Resolve file. I’ll also put together a video showing how to extract the Special Sauce from the DaVinci Resolve file.

**Other updates for KosoruCG 2.0**

I think there are too many upgrades to explain each one—it might not be great to go through them all. Basically, I can now pull off stuff that used to be impossible due to technical limitations. Everything’s faster and better. When I can finish a video in less time, I’m not just going to wrap it up quicker—I’ll add more content instead. For example, I used to be able to finish a video with three shots in a month. Now, I’ll use that month to make a video with fifteen shots.

And this year, I think my production process will be way more organized. Planning out what to do and when in advance should cut down on a lot of disasters. Plus, my character creation skills have leveled up big time. Basically, I can now make much more polished characters, so that should also reduce a bunch of issues tied to character production. Right now, my plan is to stick to the yearly schedule and see how these changes play out by the end of the year.

**2025 Annual Content Plan**

October

• Create the full version of Loot1, featuring Korone, completing another standalone story.

November

• Complete the second lucky draw video, starring SAO’s Asuna, with the premise of Kirito failing to rescue her from Oberon.

December

• Leave this month open to address unfinished tasks and wrap up the year.

**Some short videos**

Like Level 6—this video wasn’t part of the production plan at all. I just made it on a whim. For stuff like this, if I’ve got extra time, I’ll whip it up and release it for free. Unless, of course, you’re after the Special Sauce version. So, honestly, the videos you’ll see this year won’t just be the ones laid out in my annual plan.

Okay, that’s about it. I can’t think of anything else right now. I’ve still got some stuff to deal with, and I’m going to play Monster Hunter for like a week. So, I’ll probably write the next weekly update around March 10th, where I’ll dive into the details of March’s video production plans. I’ll probably just show off the characters I’ve already finished so everyone can take a look.
