let's start with the important stuff first

Basically I was supposed to publish this weekly report yesterday

but I suddenly got inspired and started making a new video

it's the one on the cover

Basically, the progress has been very smooth

during the production of "Occupational injuries 03" I developed a bunch of new production methods

basically this new way of development can reduce production time and increase content

and I tested the new shader in the scene of "Beware of your boss"

This Nahida scene is still in production

but based on past experience, I have every reason to believe that this scene will be the best so far

usually latest is best （´・ω・｀） Because you have the latest technology

Let me admit something to you that other creators may not tell you.

"Beware of your boss" only took about five hours from the time the master "Siihorsu" gave me the file to when I finished it.

Including making the character look how I like it

uhmmm....Do you know how game companies make games now?

They spent a year making the game first

then slowly release new content over four years

In fact, it only took them one year to complete the "entire game"

You'd think it took the game company four years to make the game "complete"

But in fact, they only worked on it for a year before completing the game.

They spent those four years on vacation

that's probably what it feels like

So basically I can update new videos every week

but considering that the composition and scene construction of "Beware of your boss" were not done by me

If I always updated videos like this every time

I can tell you that I only have to work ten hours a week

Then everyone will have new videos to watch every week

I could spend 10 hours on the first day making the video and then go on vacation for the remaining 6 days lol

Then do you know why I didn't do this and tell you about this?

because I think that's obviously not a good thing for progress

when you all do "the same thing"

when you have a set of SOPs and your own process

You can go very fast without any hesitation

this is what I learned in a company when I was a chef

there are fixed SOPs for everything

But now I am not a chef, I need to know everything

I went to see "Mobile Suit Gundam THE WITCH FROM MERCURY" a few days ago

Actually I have never seen any Gundam works

but someone told me this work is great, So I went to study this work

well, this is really a great work

There is almost no nonsense in this work

every word spoken by every character has meaning

This requires very in-depth planning of the script before you can do this

I studied these shots and the dialogue of the characters very carefully

To be honest, I consider this one of my jobs

basically, for a good script, you need to make every line of dialogue that appears within the scene meaningful.

This thing is very well shown in "how to train your dragon"

for example

At first the characters are just chatting around the campfire

He said his leg was eaten by a dragon

His next sentence was that if you want to kill a dragon, you shouldn't cut off their legs, you should cut off their wings. A flightless dragon is no different than a dead one.

or telling others in the training ground that "dragons never show mercy"

But in fact, there are characters who have watched the dragon show mercy

they exploit such an information gap to generate new plots

basically for a good story all dialogue must make sense

It can be the creation of a character and highlight the characteristics of the character

or just understand the world view from the dialogue between two characters without using the narration to read to you.

In fact, I didn't pay so much attention to these works before, but when I started making animations, I started to care about these details and really started to appreciate these works.

Basically I can be honest with you

If I just wanted to make a lot of videos, I would definitely have a way to get a lot of them

But I don’t think that would be a good thing either for the improvement of the quality of my work or for you.

So I can tell you what I do most of the time

Most of the time I make new sketches and then throw them in the trash can lol

because these new things are unfamiliar to me

I will keep making mistakes

sometimes it takes a day to modify a 10-second animation

then in the end I realized they didn’t look good so I threw them into the trash can

Then the "progress" for the whole day is zero

but that doesn't mean my whole day was meaningless

Share this with you, no matter what you are doing

even if you make a mistake, it won't be meaningless

because next time you'll know it won't work

The only wrong thing is to do nothing

I deeply believe that these failed experiences will make me grow

Two things you will gain from these experiences of failure

"What to do to make it work", Because you will eventually find a way

"What to do doesn't work", Because you found many unfeasible methods

To be honest, I think my videos are basically not made faster and faster

When I just started updating FANBOX last November, I was able to make one video a day.

but I don't think that's enough to satisfy me

Also I would like to express my gratitude to you

I often wonder if I am a person who rarely updates

Sometimes I find that my pixiv only has two or three works in certain months

I looked at other creators who could update a work every week

sometimes I start to wonder if I really suck lol

But I still think my method is correct

I may not be as good as other creators

I believe they have also accumulated a lot

But I won't give up on becoming a better creator

that's why I will need a lot of research time for this

In fact, someone suggested that when I need to research something, I first make a video that can be completed in five hours

Then hold this video in your hands and release it six days later

this way it looks more like you are doing something lol

But I think this is a bit superficial

so I will just tell you my situation

Because I trust you guys very much

and I also believe that you believe me

So although I have a way to make a "Beware of your boss" level video in five to ten hours

But I'm not going to make a bunch of these short videos every day, every week

because I spend most of my time researching new things

Try to provide better video content, and be honest with everyone

I haven’t decided on the length yet but I have a lot of inspiration.

So there will definitely be a sequel to this video

there's even a possibility that you'll see the sequel this week

After testing many new technologies in 03, I have many new ideas for future videos

as for the lucky draw request, the first episode of the video should be next week

It's unlikely that I'll be able to finish this video this week

Because I predict that all Lucky Draw videos will be at least 3 minutes long
