New Story

As some of you may have noticed, I just posted the first five chapters of my new story, "Penitent" for all members to read. I'll be posting these same chaps early next week on RR, but thought you should all have a preview. I'll be uploading another 30 either today or tomorrow to have behind the new Penitents tier for anyone interested.

I hope you like it! And if you don't, I don't take it too personally. I know people follow stories, not authors. Life's too short to read things you don't enjoy.

Synopsis:

Michael didn't want to die. He didn't deserve to die. After a lost battle with cancer that started only a year after he retired, he'd lived what many people would call a full life, but it wasn't enough. He wanted more time. Time with his wife. Time with his kids. Time with his grandkids. When he found himself drawn toward the light, he fought his way away from it. Unfortunately, that didn't take him back to the life he wanted to live.

Reincarnated in another world, Michael is forced to be a Penitent, a soldier in the country he was reborn into in order to pay a debt to society he owes for taking the life of the child whose body he inhabits. It's not the life he wants, but it's the only one he has.

An Isekai with light litrpg elements

MC will gain powers similar to those of a paladin

Book 1 spends a lot of time in a military academy. MC does not stay a child for very long.

Comments

I think that has more to do with you being an exceptional reader.

Well I do think you are wrong about the following author or books I still my eye on you after your interesting story and a few others that are good authors.

This story is good so far. It seems like a realistic take on being reincarnated, i like the lifetaker concept. Its a breath of fresh air from the traditional isekai that all seem the same.

Nifty

I've liked the past three series you have written and enjoying this one too. Let's go!

Zack Countler
