The whole “JB stopped talking to Kage because he got too famous” was already done in 2012.

Ok, Nerd Mode on, as someone who loves the epic rivalry of Wolverine and Sabertooth: at this point within the main canon, they are just two dudes with similar powers who were close at certain points decades ago, but had a falling out mostly because of Victor’s lack of morality. While indeed initially planned as father-and-son, as far as I know no media project ever took it in that direction.
The “half-brother” thing is actually rather strange. In “origins” it is heavily implied that Victor was a mean-spirited punk kid buddy of Logan who went by the name “Dog”. It was so obvious, that a Wolverine video game released at the same time as the comic ran identified Dog and Sabertooth as one-and-the-same during a loading screen. For some reason, the writers abruptly decided to take the story in a different direction, and Dog just grew up into an assholish, tough-as-nails frontiersman, a sort of an over-the-top Yosemite Sam of Marvel. He popped up here and there, but I have legitimately not seen him in much of anything.
