Also he was criticizing Shawn Fain for outright voicing support for Kamala when Sean O’Brien outright voiced support for senators like Josh Hawley, who refuses to support the PRO act and voted against raising the minimum wage and worker protections in Missouri. He named a number of Republican politicians that are “for the working people”. It’d be one thing if he spoke purely on labor issues at the RNC but he outright praised fake populist Republican politicians, that’s what I had an issue with. He carried a lot of water for Republican politicians that night who pretend to be for workers when they are the opposite. Plus, Sean O’Brien got a lot more speaking time than Shawn Fain did, it was like Shawn Fain was just getting into the swing of criticizing the corporations and billionaires when he stopped. If the DNC simply did not give Shawn Fain as much time to speak, I criticize that for sure. Shawn Fain is supporting the Dems for now, but he is planning a general strike in 2028. I’m sure he is going to run afoul of whomever is president at that time but the hope is that there is more of a chance that Kamala would be more supportive of a general strike than a convicted felon conman billionaire who laughed with Elon about firing striking workers and has a long history of stiffing people with small businesses who worked for him to the point were some of them were even put out of business after working at his casinos when he did not pay them for their work. Even if it’s like only a 10% chance she will, that’s better than a 0% chance with Donald Trump.

If Sean O'Brian actually thought his plan was to spread the union message hes a dumbass and shouldn't be leading anything.

He's not an ally of any kind. Associating with republicans as the Teamsters leaders will always be viewed as support of them. Members aren't exactly clawing to re-appoint Sean O'brian as leader again. You can argue hes trying to appeal to conservative union members but its not like he went to the fucking RNC and said Don't vote for trump hes a fucking scab at the RNC. His presence there alone gives a projection of support that republicans protect Unions is a dumb fucking move. Also rank and file teamsters are part of the 10 other unions that spoke at the DNC Paul.

He’s only going to support whoever the DNC chooses, not because of harm reduction. Union guys going to the RNC is different because unions make up both leftists and conservatives and has been since the beginning of the labor movement. the union my job has, has leftists like me, and conservatives alike. He wasn’t at the RNC to influence an election, he was there to spread his cause and to get people at the RNC who may have never heard of the teamsters party to hear about them. You gotta be a special kind of stupid to think those are even remotely the same thing.
