Vaush would have come off so much better if he had said "actually comics and graphic novels can be reading" because then he could champion the cause of Alan Moore and other good writers in that medium, argue that they have deep themes, there are things which can be expressed easier in visual mediums than in words, etc. chat would be on his side if he did that but instead he went to the stupidest possible option.

A lot of the exact same arguments that are used against AI today were used against those programed samples. Guess what? Drum and bass samples are big business now. Niche, but still. These programs allow people like me and tens of thousands of others to flesh out songs that would never see the light of day otherwise. And it's not just drums and bass; there's samples for pretty much every instrument imaginable. The advancement of technology benefits artists that might not have the same opportunities as others. The tune on AI will change. It's when, not if.

2024-08-01 06:23:17 +0000 UTCThat Anne Frank take was a little wierd, Journaling was not a wierd hobby for a girl that age to have especially one cooped up all day, Ontop of that there was a lot of public publishing drama with her Father and how he tried to remove and hide certain chapters that spoke about him and his marriage and Anne frank exploring her sexuality which would be an odd bit of drama to exist for somthing that was fabricated, And the other thing worth mentioning is Anne Frank is hardly the only diary to come out of WWII, directly following the war there was a huge market for War Diaries and you got tons of them from Civilians in occupied states and soliders, It was not wierd to keep a diary so I don't really get the incredulity, where all those diaries also fabrications too? What's the indicator that differentiates a fabrication from a Real diary?
