Behold the Sly Flourish Patreon-exclusive newsletter for July 2021!

As you've hopefully seen, I've been doubling and tripling down on YouTube videos recently. Thanks to your support here and the growth of our hobby I find myself able to dedicate more time to the Sly Flourish empire and found that this whole new-fangled "YouTube" thing seems to be a good way to reach people!

I've gone from one video a week to four including a whole pile of new short D&D tip videos of 3 to 5 minutes. Those have been very popular, about 5x more popular than the other videos I've done. Seems like a good way to get the word of the Lazy Dungeon Master out to more fans of D&D.

I've also expanded the Sunday morning prep show into a two part show. The first hour is now the Lazy D&D Talk Show in which I chat about the latest news, offer reviews of third party products, or chat about or other D&D-related topics. The second half remains focused on the Lazy D&D Prep show in which I go through steps from Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master to prepare for my game later in the day.

I used to post these shows raw, with no editing. This left a lot of dead space in the video, a lot of "ums", and kept them relatively long. I tried editing them down but it ended up taking about three hours of editing for two hours of video, even when I did it quickly. Then I found a new program called Descript that automatically cuts dead-space and hunts down and kills any "ums" directly. This saves me TONS of time and I can pick up the cost thanks to your support!

The new production schedule is:

• Monday morning: new article posted to Sly Flourish
• Monday morning: Lazy D&D Prep show podcast
• Monday afternoon: Lazy D&D Prep show on YouTube
• Tuesday morning:  New article sent through the Sly Flourish newsletter
• Tuesday morning: D&D Tip podcast
• Tuesday afternoon: D&D Tip YouTube video
• Wednesday: Special video and podcast if I happen to have one
• Wednesday afternoon: Patreon preview of an upcoming video
• Thursday morning: Lazy D&D Talk Show podcast
• Thursday afternoon: Lazy D&D Talk Show YouTube video
• Friday morning: D&D Tip podcast
• Friday afternoon: D&D Tip YouTube video
• Saturday: A day of rest!

That's a lot of content! Whether you're watching on YouTube, subscribed to the newsletter, reading the website, or listening to the podcast; you'll get a lot of stuff.

I'm hoping to launch the Kickstarter in late Summer or early fall for a release probably next year. It's going to be awesome.
