Halloween sugar cookie ditto & tiebreaker poll reminder!

Hey all, hope you're having a great weekend!
Here's a new design for my shop update happening this Saturday, October 12th at 1pm EST.. a halloween sugar cookie ditto! This design can be chocolate cookie scented upon request.
Reminder to vote in the November pattern tiebreaker poll if you're able! Snow leopard has a pretty big lead but candy cane fox can catch up with enough votes!

basting box definitely is a good thing to try. i'd hesitate to use the spray on the fabric. when i first started embroidering i would do this and found the fabric would never lose its gumminess and would make it difficult to sew. it'll also gum up your sewing needle. in my experience you always need to warp the design when embroidering stretch fabrics, even objects that aren't small. part of why testing is important with embroidery because it'll always come out different. here are a couple posts that may be helpful if you haven't read them yet! https://www.patreon.com/posts/75001847 https://www.patreon.com/posts/fixing-gaps-in-79346190

The embroidery box might help actually 🤔I don't hoop my fabric so I've used tape and basting spray to keep the fabric from puckering but it doesn't seem like it's enough! I've also tried switching to a more durable stabilizer but haven't tried the box yet. Even if I could get the pull comp down to like .3 I think that would help the shape come out more clearly without having to adjust it too much manually. Next thing I was gonna try was basting spray on the back of the minky instead of the stabilizer like Choly Knight says to in one of her tutorials!

Shapes will always need to be adjusted in my experience, but it may help to use a basting box around your embroidery and to double your stabilizer if they punch through! I feel like i don't have a major secret for tiny embroidery but I'll give some thought to a more detailed post 🤣

I would love a tutorial for how to make small fills like this! I've started accepting commissions and I have so much trouble with them, if I don't add like a .5 pull compensation it'll pucker my fabric but that makes it difficult to get clear small shapes like this. I end up having to warp the shape a lot and I can never get it to look right!!
