Fulfillment for drops is always a 2-3 day process for me. While i pre-scent 1/3 of the plush and hand-sew another 1/3 in advance, since people can choose their scent preference i have to wait for orders to come through to finish the last 1/3 depending on how many want them scented. This process has gotten a LOT faster with shopify's drop down option since everyones preference comes through with their order so i can quickly figure out how many need to be scented. Bigcartel didnt let me do this without tying it to an inventory number- i didnt want to artificially lock in a number of scented vs non scented which is why I did the email method before.
I also take the time to mark orders for those who need them combined, and these are the first orders i fulfill since the rest of them get filled in batches by identical orders.
I also like doing fulfillment on day 2 for any straggler pin orders that come through, since those typically dont sell out.
