Added 2022-12-27 19:26:13 +0000 UTCToday I'm finishing up the cowboy dittos! I sewed together the last few to make up for the seconds grades from yesterday.
I also finished cutting out all the vests with my silhouette cameo (i love you so much, cameo...) Unfortunately i can't get it to cut the scarf fabric without shredding so I'll have to cut those by hand 😵
Also was able to take a pic of the ditto that I'll be posting on social media tomorrow! (I can't believe how hard it was to find cowboy related stuff for the pic!)
I'll be spending the rest of the day sewing up their clothes! Have a great one!

yes there is! if you go into the parameters of a straight stitch there is a drop down menu where you can change the type of stitch

2022-12-28 02:29:26 +0000 UTCi've actually started using a blanket stitch after a straight stitch recently when i don't want to use a satin stitch on applique! i do a straight stitch to secure it in place and then follow up with a blanket stitch. the prongs of the blanket stitch are just long enough to "bite" into the fabric. it's basically a modified version of invisible applique where instead of using a blind hem stitch you use a blanket stitch (embird doesn't have a blind hem stitch in it). what i like is that you can pick out minky fibers from the blanket stitch unlike with a zigzag stitch. here's a couple photos, the first one hasnt had the fibers pulled out yet and the 2nd does https://imgur.com/a/N6XXdn5
