Update about Updates

It's been a while since I posted something. I had intended to post up a piece of "Lightning" about every week or every two weeks. I have been lightly editing them, reading through and trying to fix up consistency problems pointed out by one of my alpha readers, fixing typos, etc.

Two things have gotten in the way. One is that my ADHD-addled brain decided to embark on another project, which I'm writing and posting just for everyone to read as it's a self-indulgent thing putting Hawk into a space adventure. You can find that on my FA and SF pages. I didn't think it was something I wanted to paywall in any way. I chase what excites me because if I don't, I do nothing at all.

The other thing is that I wasn't in a very good mindset about this project. In late June, the alpha reader I mentioned committed suicide. As far as I know, I was one of his few close friends and yet I wasn't able to try and connect him to any resources to get help as he seemed to use different names everywhere he had accounts in the furryverse and I only knew one of them. It made me just want to stay away from this project as I would have to see his name in the google docs over and over, etc. I mention what happened and not that he 'passed away' because I think it's silly to cover things up that way. He decided the world was getting irrevocably worse and he couldn't find a place in it. I think he was wrong, and that's just my opinion, which is only very slightly useful in the grand scheme of things.

In any case, I'm going to try and continue posting here,so you're about to get part four of Lightning!
