Spider-Man (Early Access)

Hello! Here is the YouTube edit for Spider-Man! What a fun film to kick off the Spider-Man movie marathon.

Also, I spent waaay too much time going down the Google rabbit hole learning about chintz and chenille.

Hope you enjoy! ❤️🐑

I’m excited to watch your reactions to these. These are my favorite Spider-Man movies. Great reaction as always; I like your humor throughout the movie.

Not one to usually comment, but this episode was great. Love this content/series already!

There’s actually a Spider-Man (2002) novelization that dives into Peter’s childhood with a prologue. One scene has him reading a Captain America comic, and afterward, he imagines his parents as heroic spies who were killed by the Red Skull, a nod to their backstory and death in the comics. Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, gets a mention as well. Dr. Stromm (the scientist Norman kills) states that the only scientist who had better chops than him was Henry Pym. Eddie Brock even shows up in the novel, though he’s only briefly mentioned in the movie. My favorite reference is Maximillian Fargas, the bald guy in the wheelchair apart of the Oscorp board who gets killed by the Green Goblin. He's described as "the professor character from that mutant movie." Little nod to Professor X played by Patrick Stewart. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was actually planned to have a cameo in the film, but it didn’t happen because of an issue with the Wolverine suit. Honestly, he could’ve just shown up in a casual jacket, and fans would’ve been happy. It’s not officially canon, but Spider-Man: The New Animated Series (2003) was originally pitched as a continuation of Spider-Man (2002). The pilot even references events from the movie. But that series was packed with Marvel Easter eggs, such as Spider-Man name-dropping the X-Men, Stark Industries, and they even brought in Michael Clarke Duncan to reprise his role as Kingpin from Daredevil (2003) which released that same year. Implying that Ben Affleck’s Daredevil and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man exist in the same world. Spider-Man 2 (2004) pretty much ignored the show entirely, which is why it’s not really considered canon.
