1st month of the content change - review

Hello Patreons. I figured this would be a great way for you to keep up with me and the channel and how things went for the previous month.

April. Wow. What a great month. The change of content and introduction of shorts has sent the channel to the moon! It gained a total of 21 million views and another 100,000 subs. The channel is now getting between 1 and 2 million views and around 3 to 4 thousand subs a day. So yeah, the channel has seen a very healthy boost from the content mix-up gamble.

The newer style videos have done better than I thought they would which is good to see. I am going to drop the face cam going forward. I can get personality into the vids through the scripts and people want to see artwork, not my face. It just took me some experimentation and reflection to see that. I’m going to try and feature Mike in as many of the videos as I can too.

Mike is a god-send! Mike is very popular and lots of comments are coming in about Mike which helps to boost the channel engagement. He also makes for an instantly recognizable piece of branding for the channel’s videos. Mike will be featured a lot more.

I’ve asked Cimmerian to proof-read my video scripts going forward as my writing is a bit poor and he, as a writer, has a skill set of value which I can use.

Overall, April was a great month. I learned a lot. The channel grew a lot and I am extremely happy with both the content I am making and to see my risk is so far paying off so far. I am not about to step back and relax though, this is only 1 month and the next could flop so I am going to keep grinding.
