Inspired by you, I tried my luck with solo running for the first time a while back, also with Torterra in Platinum as it seemed like an obvious place to start. I spent hours in planning, and figuring out what TMs and held items were available at what points in the game. I had a blast. Until I started playing. Candice was a menace, but in general the whole run felt brutal. Torterra is slow, lots of Pokemon have coverage moves, and the AI is smarter. I can't remember nor access my final time just now, but I put solo running in gen 4 on hold after that attempt, that's how deflated I was 😄 Looking forward to seeing what you came up with!
