Dev Update 05/28/23
Added 2023-05-28 16:19:37 +0000 UTCHello, Patrons! Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s been going on this week:
- Worked on more of the core gameplay systems, and started getting some trident/spear animations to work with our Mer model (video attached)
- Our composer, Evan Koessler, is continuing to work on some amazing themes for the game’s main menu screen. The “theme suite” will set the musical vibe for many of the different zones and layers we’ll be swimming through as we explore different ocean depths.
- Our writer, Andrew Meredith, is working on turning our broad-stroke narrative structure into a more formal outline.
- Brought the prolific artist, Thom Chen, into the Discord server. Thom is interested in contributing concept art to the SIREN project.
- The Patreon page continues to grow daily, and other indie devs are beginning to reach out about possible involvement in the project. Interest is slowly beginning to ramp up!
Again, thank you all for your support, and spread the word to anyone you think will be interested! Until I find an angel investor excited enough to dump some serious cash into this project, it will only survive by the slow and steady growth of this Patreon page.
Next week we’ll be dropping a little bit of game lore, and some of the narrative ideas we’ve developed.
Till then, I’ll catch you in Discord!

Hey, I'm not sure if you will answer but I'm curious. Will there be other weapons to use? Because a trident as cool as it is has been done before in media I was just wondering could there be like a spear or a pair of blades or blades on the tail or something like that? Are there options for other weapons basically?
