Sci-Facet Art
Added 2025-09-06 19:00:04 +0000 UTCIf you follow me on any other of my social media, you've probably seen some of these drawings! (But not all?) Anyway, I've been very slowly brainstorming this idea/world for a couple years and, with this TDL break, I thought I'd post about it!
It's a sci-fi setting (because I can never get enough of sci-fi settings). Life across the universe has become interconnected, and an odd trio begins travelling together. One is a human from a militarized Earth, one is a runaway from a cult-like home, and the other is a sentient planet in an android body. They hop from galaxy to galaxy, meeting unusual people, learning about each other, and expanding their horizons.
The crux of the story is extreme culture shock! Every locale is very...alien (hehe), posing what-ifs and engendering messy interactions. If the cultural standard of a species is: attacking someone = a polite hello, will your reluctance to do the same be a grave insult? If you get underfoot a being 100 times your size and 100 times more advanced than you, should it apologize? And if your planet is a galactic superpower in influence, does it give you the right to insist your answers to these questions are correct?
I've got a lot of sketchbook doodles for this world as well, so if I manage to round them up, I'll make another post!
