HIEROPHANT: A World Unveiled

Greetings to all of our beloved Patrons and Dreamers!

We hope you have enjoyed the recent deeper dives into the lives of the Elders at the time of Golden Treasure: The Great Green. Because it was such a pivotal time in the species' history, they represented a precious view into the greatest of the Kin, and perhaps into even the nature of Greatness as the Kin understand it. Allmother, Darktooth, Many-Times-Burned, Fathom, Jade Cloud, and Bladetail-of-the-Many-Minds were exceptions among a wholly exceptional people, and by their truths and stories greater Truths might become manifest, for those who seek them.

However, this marks a shift in the focus of this Patreon. The story of The Great Green is told, and while it may evolve (actively, through our Story Creator software or other means, and passively, through conversation and evolution of understanding), our gaze must now turn towards the stars. Earth fades into the distance, and the incredible world of Newhome, a very Draak of a planet itself, looms on the horizon.

We would, therefore, like to announce the following:

1. Dreaming Door Studios has been engaged in active, full-time development of Golden Treasure: HIEROPHANT for two months now, and are nearing completion on a gameplay prototype. In partnership with GameBCN and the Saudi Game Champions program, who accepted Dreaming Door into an incubator based in a tech center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, work on the game is proceeding daily with our team of four.

2. Golden Treasure: HIEROPHANT will be the first (to our knowledge) Throne Simulator, a first-person narrative leadership experience. The player will take on the role of the Xenarch of the Coba People, the supreme Draak-Kin ruler over a small and vulnerable people in a huge and colorful world. Through the player's... that is, your... guidance, you will lead the Verdan Tribe of Coba, and eventually many other Tribes and Peoples, through an exciting and eventful age in the history of the planet of Newhome.

3. In the coming weeks and months, we will be introducing you to the world of Newhome, which represents thousands of hours of research, meditation, and journeys within the imagination taken over the last sixteen months. We wish for you to help guide us, as there is far too much information to share in even a hundred posts and we do not know where to begin. We are therefore posting a new poll, which you may find on the site.

We encourage your participation! Note that the ORO and the Draak-Kin are not featured on this list, though they will be counted among the Great Peoples of the time, for certain reasons. Also, do not worry about the non-presence of such species as the Yhara and the Firsa on the list; they will appear, as promised, but their roles in the saga will be more minor than those listed in the poll. We must first introduce you to those actors without whom the history of Newhome in this age simply could not be what it is.

Thank you for your patience in these past months. Our situation here in Saudi Arabia is still evolving, which is why we were hesitant to share details, but the time for sharing has at last come. We could not have made it this far without your support; the funds we have received from you have accounted for most of our operating revenues thus far.
