Genta Wars: The Semi-Finals!
Added 2024-05-13 15:06:37 +0000 UTCToday, the last of the polls were closed on the first level of the Genta Wars voting tournament, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. While it was certainly sad to see five great ideas not be chosen to move forward, it was inspiring to see how beloved all of them.... yes, all of them... were by the patrons. Already, this outpouring of community creativity has proven to be a grand success.
But we're not finished! No, the Five must become the One. Let's introduce our second-tier candidates one more time! By order of appearance in the polls, they are:
The Nekora
The Pikalka
The Rhusa
The Fyrsa
The Yhara
Click on any of their names for a refresher on their history and lore. Remember that, while a picture is worth many words, a species is far more than its morphology! Bringing interesting new cultures is at least as important as bringing interesting new forms into Newhome.
Round 2 will proceed as follows:
Two of the five remaining candidates will be eliminated in the second tier, according to the results of two separate polls pitting four of them against each other:
Round 6: Rhusa vs. Nekora
Round 7: Pikalka vs. Fyrsa
The Yhara, having earned more votes than any other species, receives a high seed in the tournament, and will advance to the final tier, skipping this one.
The final tier will be a 3-way duel to extinction between the three who pass this level.
Do not despair if your favorite choice has already been eliminated or is eliminated in Tier 2! Remember that at least one will be redeemed by the Draak-Kin vote, and Dreaming Door may choose one more in the end. We've already got our sights set on one of the species eliminated in Tier 1, but our decision isn't finalized yet, and we're waiting to see the full roster of choices.
