Copy Protection Void Part 26

Apple smiled as a well dressed man with a sneer on his face walked into the warehouse they were renting for the weekend. "Welcome to the warehouse of trouble, how can I help you?"

"I'm looking for a new maid, the pay is excellent," the man replied with a smirk as he held up a gold coin, looking forward to having some fun with the attractive woman before he killed her.

"I'm not interested," Apple replied with a smirk as she adjusted one of her cursed stockings, giving the man a chance to walk away on the off chance that he wasn't there because of the cursed stockings.

"Do you know who I am?!" the man snapped.

Apple laughed. "No, which means you're obviously not important."

"I'm going to cut-" the man dropped to the ground when Twist's stunner hit him in the back.

Apple turned and looked at Twist who was hiding in the shadows. "You're supposed to wait until he actually says something criminal."

"Next time, we have two idiots sneaking in the back," Twist replied as she walked over and grabbed the man's leg.

"Fine," Apple muttered as Twist vanished with the asshole, slightly annoyed that she wasn't allowed to kill the idiots that her stockings were drawing like flies to honey. She turned to look at the idiots that were trying to use the darkness to sneak up on her, unaware that she could see in the dark. "Hello, are you lost?"

"We're not lost, we're exactly where we want to be," one of the guy's replied with a smirk as he stepped out of the darkness holding a sock filled with copper coins that he'd been planning on hitting her with.

"Tell you what, if you stab your friend, I'll fuck you…" Apple trailed off as the other man immediately turned and stabbed his 'friend' in the gut. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"I want to fuck and Lars is shifty," the man replied as Lars collapsed on the ground and started wailing.

"Never let it be said that I'm not a girl of my word," Apple replied as she grabbed a pair of fighting sticks out from under her chair and jumped at the idiot, planning on fucking him up.

Twist hit the man on the ground with a stunner to shut him up then did the same to the other idiot after Apple had gotten a couple of hits in. "Remember the master needs them alive."

"I'm aware," Apple replied as she broke the man's jaw with a well placed kick. "Just because he needs them alive doesn't mean he needs them in one piece."

"True," Twist agreed as she used her magic to partially heal the man's stab wound so that he wouldn't die before the master was done with him. "How many cultists do you think we'll get with this trap?"

"I don't know," Apple admitted, a touch surprised that they'd already found seventy five darkfriends or rapists in the four hours they'd been hanging out in the warehouse. "How are we doing for space?"

"We should have enough space for another thirty five or forty people if we pack them like sardines," Twist replied thoughtfully.

Apple glanced out the window and looked at the full moon in the night sky then turned to look at the door when an attractive young woman wearing a red dress walked into the warehouse with a young man with dark hair that looked a bit uneasy as his eyes darted around the warehouse, obviously looking for threats. She glanced between the teenagers that were surrounded with a glow that indicated they could channel. "Welcome to the warehouse of trouble."

"Are you Aes Sedai?" the young man asked warily. "My cousin is acting strange."

"I'm not acting strange," Zara complained, hoping her cousin didn't screw things up, "the voices said I could find a pair of attractive girls if I followed the clues."

"What makes you think we're Aes Sedai?" Apple asked the young man.

"She's hearing voices and she promised to let me watch her have sex if I'd come with her," the young man complained.

"I haven't had sex for a month, not since Marie quit," Zara complained, rather annoyed that her maid had decided to run off in the middle of the night with some of her jewelry after professing her love the day before. "You can always leave if you don't want to watch me have sex. How much?"

"A gold," Apple replied, trying to figure out if the stockings had drawn her to them or if the girl's magic had. "Do you normally hear voices?"

"I usually just get feelings and impressions about things that I touch," Zara admitted as she pulled a gold coin out of her coin purse.

"Nice, we get to have fun and we get gold," a man said as he walked in with five shifty looking people.

"Shit," the young man complained as he drew his sword, wishing he'd just locked his cousin in her room or taken her to the palace to see if the Aes Sedai would help.

Zara grabbed her dagger and glared at the street thugs. "If you come any closer, I'll cut you like a fish."

Apple glanced between the young woman that was obviously shaking and the thugs that looked amused at the idea of the girl fighting them. 'She's not acting like a killer, I should probably have Mist check her.' She lunged forward and hit one of the thugs with her fighting stick then kicked the next one in the nuts.

Twist hit the other three thugs with stunners then did the same to the teenagers, figuring they'd sort things out afterward as she'd felt the wards trigger in the back of the warehouse, meaning someone else had tried sneaking in. "I'll be back in a minute," she told Apple then apparated to the back of the warehouse to deal with the people sneaking in.

"If you pay me, I'll happily fuck your brains out but you have to pay me," Fox told the man dressed in an expensive silk outfit that was already getting on her nerves.

"I left my coin purse in my chambers, you'll get your gold," the man promised.

"No gold, no fucking," Fox replied she replied firmly, not remotely interested in working for credit, especially when she didn't know the person.

"Look you stupid whore-" whatever else the man was going to say was lost when Frank 'lightly' hit him over the head with a cable of hardened air, sending him crashing to the wooden floor.

Fox glanced over at the corner of the bakery where she could see the illusion Frank was using to hide from the idiots that were drawn to the bakery because of the cursed stockings. "The boss needs them alive and the baker is going to ask annoying questions if we end up with blood on the floor."

"I'm pretty sure we should toss the baker into the pile, no one in their right mind rents a bakery to a couple of strangers for less than a handful of gold," Frank complained.

"I flashed my breasts at him and implied that I'd be really grateful if he helped us out," Fox replied with a smirk.

"I guess he gets a pass," Frank admitted as he opened a gateway to the forest where he'd set up a warded pen for the darkfriends and rapists they'd managed to capture and shoved the man through with a thread of air. He let the gateway close then took a drink of his bottle of cider and tried to relax while he waited for the next idiot to get drawn in by Fox's stockings. "This feels like shooting fish in a barrel."

"Good," Fox replied as the front door opened, revealing a woman wearing a nightdress that was surrounded by a glowing aura.

"You're mine…" the woman trailed off as her compulsion weave was hacked apart by weaves that she couldn't see.

Frank shielded the woman then tied it off and bound her in threads of air. "Interesting, it's not everyday you catch a member of the Black Ajah."

"I'm not Black," the Aes Sedai denied. "How did you hide your weave?"

"Practice," Fox lied, not seeing a point in explaining the situation and why she used saidin or the fact that Fank was the person channeling as he could wear one of the lab coats without it looking suspicious since no one could see him.

"What do you want?" the Aes Sedai asked warily.

"Answers," Fox asked with a smile that didn't reach her eyes, knowing the boss would be happy to have another Aes Sedai.

Mat tossed himself behind a large rock when the hideous green skinned hag tossed a boulder at him after catching the arrow he'd shot at her eye. "Ashes!"

"Why is everything immune to lightning?" Mist complained as he cast one of his enhancement spells on the hag, giving her the ability to see through clothes and summoning a bare chested red skinned demon holding a black staff. 'That should buy us a minute so Rand can finish the other half of the cavern.'

"Probably because the world hates you," Mat replied as he tossed a dagger around the side of the rock he was using for cover, trying to distract the boss so she wouldn't have time to set up anything really nasty since the hags got harder to deal with if you let them have time to cast.

The hag queen blocked the dagger with her staff and laughed. "I'm going to enjoy ripping the flesh from your bones."

"I am the master of the hunt, prepare to be amazed!" the demon sang cheerfully as he gestured with his staff and summoned a spectral hound.

Mist sighed when the hag queen merely tossed a bolt of black fire and obliterated the singing demon's head, causing his body to hit the floor and his staff to fall out of his hand and roll a couple of inches before stopping. He watched the demon for a couple of seconds, on the off chance that it would regenerate or get back up and kill the hag. 'So much for the demon being powerful.'

"I will burn your kingdom to the ground, eat your women and children and salt the earth!" the hag queen shouted. "Send me your heroes so I can break them!"

Egwene's clone grabbed a large boulder with cables of air and smashed the boulder into the hag queen, knocking her to the ground then proceeded to continue smashing her when she refused to die. "Shit, I was hoping that would work."

"Drop it in a skimming gate," Mat suggested, wishing Rand would hurry up with the other side.

Egwene's clone ducked behind a large boulder when the hag gestured at her boulder and tossed the rock almost faster than she could see, causing the boulder she was hiding behind to shatter.

"My name is Morthwaga the Hag Queen, I will feast on your bones mortal!" the hag queen shouted, her voice echoing through the cavern. "I can not be stopped, I can not be destroyed, I am immortal!"

Rand shoved the soul eating sword through the hag's chest from behind then promptly ducked her counter attack when his strike failed to kill her, causing his concentration and his invisibility to slip.

"Use the ring!" Mist shouted as he tossed the knock off red lantern ring at Rand, hoping to hell that his insane plan would work. His hopes were dashed when she merely gestured at the ring and sent it flying into the shadows rather than grabbing it and putting it on like a dumbass.

Egwene's clone opened a gateway below one of the hag's legs, placing the other end near Mist.

Mist grabbed the hag's leg and pulled with everything he had, causing the gateway to cut through her leg and revealing the stone that her leg was made out of. 'No pattern, shit!'

"I can not be destroyed!" the hag queen shouted as shards of rock floated off the ground then twisted into a leg and fused with her body. "Kneel before your god!"

Rand opened a horizontal gateway on the ground and dove through when the hag was distracted, planning on hitting her from a distance.

Mist ducked out from behind the boulder he'd been using as cover and activated his gloves, sending a storm of lightning in all directions including the shadows off to the side of the cave the boss had walked out of, causing a short heavily mutated creature to fall out of the shadows with a shriek.

Egwene's clone grabbed the creature that had fallen out of the shadows because of the lightning with cables of air and bashed it on the ground then tossed it at Mist, letting him touch it before she bashed it into the ground a couple more times to make sure it was distracted.

Mist grabbed the mutated humanoid that looked like someone had tossed Yoda into a microwave and pushed all of his mana into his gloves, causing the creature to thrash and finally explode as a storm of lightning erupted from his hands. "Fuck!" he screamed as he collapsed, his legs and hands charred from the lightning that got past his bracelet's resistance.

Mat sighed in relief when the 'hag queen' froze and turned into sand. "That sucked."

"No shit," Egwene's clone agreed as she stepped out from behind the broken rock she'd been using as cover, annoyed that she'd gotten fooled by a fake boss.

"Are you alive?" Rand asked as he walked over, keeping an eye on the surrounding area in case he needed to attack something.

"Yeah," Mist replied as he forced his mana into his regeneration spell, knowing that it would help with the pain.

Egwene's clone relaxed when she recognized the magic flowing over Mist and fixing his injuries. "He'll be fine."

"That was close," Rand admitted as he glanced around the cavern, trying to keep an eye on everything. "We should probably just use a gateway and flood the next one."

"That would certainly make it easier but it might damage the loot," Mat pointed out, not sure that he cared after dealing with the last couple of caverns. "What happens if they drop a book and it gets waterlogged?"

"Alene would probably skin us alive," Rand admitted.

The clone shook her head. "I doubt she'd go that far."

"But you're not completely sure are you?" Mat teased as he walked over and used his bow to open the treasure chest the boss dropped.

"We'd probably survive one book but an entire library," the clone mused as she helped Mist to his feet. "How are you doing?"

"I'll survive," Mist replied as he checked the description on the staff the demon dropped, trying to ignore the pain and the creepy feeling of his flesh regenerating. "Pay to win."

"What?" Egwene's clone asked.

"The staff is an arcane focus meaning I can cast my spells through the staff which increases their power by fifty percent at the cost of doubling the mana cost," Mist explained.

"That should come in useful once you have enough mana to burn," Egwene's clone offered, looking forward to borrowing the staff and running some tests to see if it helped with channeling.

"Did the rest of us get anything useful?" Mat asked.

Mist picked up the enchanted coin purse and tossed it to Mat. "It's enchanted to be resistant to cutting and thievery. It will also always find its way back to your possession and can hold a couple of thousand gold without increasing the weight by a noticeable amount."

"Does it have any drawbacks?" Mat asked.

"It only takes coins," Mist replied as he picked up a gold ring and tossed it to Rand. "Have fun, it's not as good as a sa'angreal but it's close."

"Next time," Egwene muttered when she realized the chest was empty.

"There's always the road to Deven Ride," Rand suggested.

"Yeah," Mist agreed as he opened his gift window and jumped to the new stuff, curious if he'd picked up anything neat from the boss or the rest of the hags he'd killed. "No thanks, I don't need the scent ability when it comes to children," he muttered and skipped to the next description. "Flawed Potion of Greater Haste, this potion increases your base speed by double for an hour at the cost of forcing you into an enchanted sleep for eight hours when the potion wears off."

Egwene's clone shook her head. "That sounds like a good way to get yourself killed."

"Probably," Mist agreed as he checked the next item. 'One empty genie lamp, complete with a lavish house in the lamp that no one else can use, lovely. No point in pulling that out until I can get the enchanting spell working.' He glanced at the description for the next item. 'Crystal Broken Chains? This crystal removes any curses the user is afflicted with, cures any diseases and removes any allergies or health problems they're suffering from. That should take care of the garlic allergy from using the stamp.'

"Did you get anything else?" Egwene's clone asked as Samara and Egwene walked out of a gateway twenty feet from them.

Mist smiled as he read the description for the next item. "It gave me a floating step that I can freeze in place with a command word or release with another command word. If I enchant a bunch of steps we could have free floating stairs which would be really neat."

"It would certainly make it easier to build bridges," Mat mused. "Could you use the same enchantment on metal rings so we could tie ropes to them?"

"Probably," Mist replied with a grin, looking forward to being able to actually enchant things.

"I'm going to want some of those," Mat replied with a grin as he thought about the various ways he could use them to move troops around in case he didn't have enough channelers.

Mist smiled at Egwene and Samara as they stopped next to Egwene's clone. "I also picked up a breastplate that is always cold and frosted over which should help with food storage if I can reverse engineer the enchantment."

"That's useful," Samara agreed as she used her angreal to open a gate to the surface. "I had a vision, we're on a bit of a tight schedule, we need to head up to the surface and use the sliding device in the next ten minutes if we want to pick up some nice abilities."

"Works for me," Mist replied as he walked through the gate and conjured a set of mirrors that were four feet tall by three feet wide, figuring he'd deal with the cursed belt and the prisoners when he got back. He pulled the sliding device out of his bag of holding and pushed the button then picked up one of the mirrors and jumped through.

"Are we supposed to follow?" Egwene's clone asked.

"Give it a minute then we can use the mirror," Samara replied, not seeing a reason to get spun around and lose her dinner when she didn't have to.

"What type of abilities are we talking about?" Rand asked.

"It depends on the person, the vision didn't give me a lot of details just that we'd miss an opportunity if he didn't use the device in the next couple of minutes," Samara admitted.

Mist froze when he came out of the sliding portal and saw a dozen trollocs fighting four naked teenage dark haired girls holding rune carved weapons and losing badly. "What the hell?"

"Dark fire!" a girl shouted from behind Mist, causing one of the naked girls to gesture with the hand that wasn't holding her axe and two of the trollocs caught fire, the flames burning purple and blue as the trollocs screamed in agony.

Mist dropped the mirror, letting it hover in place and pulled his wand out of his bracelet's inventory. "Do you want help?"

"No-Yes!" the girl behind him shouted, changing her answer as forty trollocs burst out of the trees along with a fade.

Mist unleashed a beam of lightning from his wand and raked it across the trollocs, killing most of them instantly and setting his goal to cast his enchanting spell back by several thousand mana as the wand consumed his maximum mana to upgrade its damage. 'Screw it, I'll get it back tomorrow when it can't upgrade things anymore.'

"What in the light was that?!" Sara demanded when she watched the young mana slaughter the entire group by himself, including the fade that wasn't twitching around like they usually did when they suffered enough damage to die.

"I don't care, they're dead," Mat replied, relieved that they weren't dead.

Mist watched the naked girls slaughter the trollocs they'd been fighting, then turned to look at the other group of locals, wondering if he should be surprised to see a version of Mat standing next to young man that he'd seen around but couldn't put a name to and two girls that looked familiar but couldn't place. "What's going on?"

"We were hunting snots, we weren't expecting to run into fifty trollocs," Sara admitted. "Thank you for the help."

"Are you a channeler?" Mat asked warily, not recognizing the young man.

"No, I just have a magic wand," Mist assured him as Egwene stepped out of the mirror.

"Egwene?" Sara asked, not sure why her friend was stepping out of a magic mirror.

"My name is Egwene but we're from a mirror world…" Egwene's clone trailed off when she noticed the naked girls holding weapons that had glowing runes on them. "Why are the girls naked?" she asked as Egwene stepped out of the mirror.

"They're summons…" Mat trailed off when he saw Egwene. "Twins?"

"Close enough," Egwene replied as she looked at the attractive girls holding weapons with glowing runes on them, wondering where they'd found the weapons.

"Clothes are annoying when you have to put them on every time you're summoned," the naked girl holding a rune carved staff offered as she walked over and stood by Mat.

"No real point when the weather doesn't bother us," the girl with an axe walked over and stood next to Sara.

"What is a snot?" Mist asked, not familiar with the term.

"Twist a rabbit to look like a person, make them about two and a half feet tall then give them the ability to spit snot at twenty paces. They breed like rabbits and they eat anything they can get their hands on that isn't meat," Sara complained. "If you don't kill them, they'll destroy farms."

"Thankfully, they're not particularly intelligent," one of the other naked girls offered as she walked over to stand by the other girl.

"What brings you out to the middle of nowhere?" Mat asked, curious where he'd picked up the magic wand.

"One of our friends has the ability to predict the future," Egwene explained as Samara stepped out of the mirror.

"I saw that you'd need some help and I was curious about the obelisk," Samara explained.

"We should probably get back to the village and let everyone know that we found trollocs running around, this is going to be a mess," Sara complained, knowing they'd be stuck in the village until the adults managed to exterminate the shadowspawn.

"Sounds good," Mist replied, curious where they'd picked up the ability to summon the girls and figuring the village would be a good place to start.

Yeah, no thanks.

Mist of Shadows

Yeah... not watching naked girls get ripped apart is a bonus. :)

Bable Zmith

Or something might be the best answer here.

Mist of Shadows

Wonder if they are only temporary summons or if it's till they die or something
