Added 2023-03-20 18:30:38 +0000 UTCA minor update adding one small scene, a couple bug fixes, and adding links to the about section of the game.
One of the other reasons for releasing this one early and with less content was to be able to extend the download options. There have been several complaints about the SSL issues with my private server, so I have taken some advice and provided options to host the files on both google drive and mega as well as continuing to host them on itch and on my private server. v0.01.4 is already in production and I'm working to render out the beach scenes for another release in a couple more weeks. Yeah, I totally understand what you're saying and it's not something I plan on doing regularly. I was wanting to expand the platforms as there were several complaints about the SSL issues and I wanted to address that ASAP, but the current release had a couple really big bugs in it that I wanted to address. At the same time, I didn't want to release an update that didn't have ANY new content. I recently just watched the series His Dark Materials. I heard about it a while back when the first season aired. I'd read the books, so I knew that the show would only be 3 seasons, so I waited until the entire series had finished before I watched it so I could binge the entire series in one go. If you prefer to do playthroughs with more content, you could skip some patches and just download ever other one. I think, from a backer perspective, people would rather see more frequent updates, regardless of size, rather than having to wait months to years between updates as it reminds them that the game is being actively worked on. Anyway, my goal is still to produce monthly updates and try to have as much content as possible in each one. This was just a one-off for the reasons I stated above.

2023-03-22 15:54:55 +0000 UTCHonestly, this release was kind of a disappointment to me. Not one concluded story episode, but just its opening. I know it was just 2 weeks since v0.01.2 and I certainly understand you wanted to give a broader audience the chance to download and experience the game from popular platforms. But don't we all like to bingewatch 2-3 episodes of our favourite series at a time? Imagine being able to only watch half an episode on TV and then have to wait again. I'd rather wait 4-6 weeks for one full episode release than bi-weekly halfs.
