AI Safety piece will(?) launch this month!

Hi all!  Short update this time.

Thank you all so much for the thoughtful replies on my last post! I'm learning to overcome my fearful people-pleasing instincts, so I'm relieved the last post didn't, like, totally blow up in my face.

Anyway: good news then bad news then good news about AI Safety for Fleshy Humans, my three-part series explaining AI Safety.

Good News: Part One was fully complete!

Bad News: Realized that Part One ran way too long (~45 min) and Part Two would run a bit too short (~15 min). So, I cut Part One in half...

...then glued Part Two to the end of the first half of Part One (now the new Part One), and shifted the second half of Part One (now the new Part Two)...

Uh

Well,

Good News: So although Part One is delayed due to being re-written, this means both Part One and Part Two (of a 3-part series) are very close to done!

Part One should fina-frickin'-lly be out in December. Or else: I will cut off a square-centimeter chunk of my hair, mix it with some food, and eat it on camera. Yes I am resorting to this level of pre-commitment contract. I'm sorry I've kept breaking my promise on this project for so many months, so this time, if I fail, at least the failure will be entertaining to y'all.

Also, the AI Safety comics hit the frontpage of reddit recently, with 15,000 upvotes???

I did not even know that happened until 3 days afterward, when the discussion already died down. So, I couldn't promote the upcoming explainer series. Oh well.
