Been feeling pretty lazy lately. Barely clocking in a combined 60 hrs of work in the first couple weeks of production and wasting a good chunk of my time just re-playing nostalgia games again :/
Tho I did eventually get back into the groove, I still don't feel like I've earned my keep these past couple months. So I decided to just pause the billing for this month :p
I'll also be setting aside PGW for a short while and just work on finishing up the Happy Accident Epilogue instead, just to have a much needed change of pace.
Tho the Epilogue is technically already finished, I've grown a lot in terms of skill over the year since it's "completion" so imma polish it up to my current animation standards, while also prepping it up for dubbing!
Oh!.. And I'll also use this opportunity as a testing ground for the new potential sound guy!.. Since I already did the audio for it, if the potential audio designer can at least match (but ideally surpass) it. Then that means I've also found my sound guy for the big boi Prank Gone Wrong remake as well!
And on another topic, I also got some pretty useful coaching from a professional animator a while back!.. Albeit brief (and certainly not cheap XD) I learned some pretty important fundamentals/core principles of animation that I was missing. Prolly due to my lack of actual formal training :p
I tried to apply the tips that I learned from that as much as I can in this wip, especially on the dialogues... And tho there's defo a lot more room for improvement, I'm pretty happy with how the dialogues felt a lil more alive now. Should look a lot better once I get to refine it a bit more in the polishing stages :3

2024-12-09 00:20:03 +0000 UTCThe way I see it, if you sell animations on a store, they'd have to be priced high in order to be comparable to a monthly subscription. Like if it takes 10 months to make a video at $3 a month, then you'd have to sell that video at $30 to make the same money. And people are much more comfortable paying for small amounts every month than one large purchase, even if the monthly ends up being the same or more. Not to mention you'd have to work months without that monthly income and then hope that it sells well to make up for the work you put in. And with the monthly subscription system, you can eventually release your animations publicly for free, which gives you a lot more exposure and more people willing to check your stuff out than if it was permanently locked behind a paywall.

Ofc I wasn't really grinding and striving as much as I should for a while imo, hence the billing pause XD As for the sock (and shoe), I just took them off in the middle of production to give a bit of... progression... at least... getting progressively more naked with each scene that is XD... I did leave a note for future me to put those socks and shoe as background props tho for that extra immersion :3 I should at least be able to post one more time (if all goes well) of the updated version of the Epilogue. Someone's bound to have tried that at some point in the past, but subs ended up being the mainstream. And I think that's still how japan still do a lot of their distributions theses days. Don really know the specifics of why we transitioned neither XD

Then I gotta do the directions for the VA's and sound guy. After that, is just waiting for them to finish on their end, and I can start working on PGW again :3 This side project's been sitting on the side for a while now so I thought it's about time XD As for a break, I might visit friends and fam if the opportunity arises. Your realy getting better and better and with time ofc comes Experience. Its great to see that those two getting into Action now. I also need to watch some updates again cause i literally dont remember anymore how Hu Tao loosed 1 Sock. I was like uhhhh pretty Feet and then wait when did she loose it haha. If you want a change of pace, maybe you could try doing some short animations (1-2 minutes long) with little to no story, just straight fucking, or i guess in this case gay fucking. You could even use these for practicing various poses or techniques. Anyways, since Billing is going to paused, I hope you have a nice break during the holidays!
