That’s one of the issues with Classroom of the Elite, because it’s both seinen and a light novel then it definitely needs 24 episodes

But if I were to think as an animation studio I would opt for 12 episode season especially if it the story is an action anime and a manga. More episodes mean less money per episode. You can see that actually with an anime like Demon Slayer, the jump in quality between the S1 and S2 is pretty significant.
