Chrono Trigger / Lost Sphear Analysis

My next video is going to be about the recent Square Enix / Tokyo RPG Factory's release: Lost Sphear. It's a follow-up to 2014's I Am Setsuna, and like that title, it is a re-imagining of Chrono Trigger and RPGs of the early 1990's.

The script is just about done and I plan on performing the voiceover tonight. The video will likely be around 20-25 minutes long, and I attempt identify why Lost Sphear is a true-to-form successor of Trigger, but also explain the unfair advantage a game from 20+ years ago has against a modern release both technologically and nostalgically, and how shortcuts in this new game undermine the heart and spirit of the games that inspired it.

I am going to be putting a lot of work on the presentation and arguments in this one and I hope you will enjoy another look at (in my opnion) one of the best RPGs I've ever played, and the latest attempt to revive that magic.

I'm shooting for the video to be done on Saturday the 10th. Hopefully I can finish up ahead of schedule so I can release it early for Patrons.
