Progress Update: A (Kind of) Hurry

Today was interesting. I spent an unduly large amount of time throwing together business cards for the convention we'll be going to next Wednesday, which does not sit well with today's animation quota. There was a place I would like to have been by the end of the day, and I am not quite there at this point.

Still, it's on the way. Things are chugging along just fine, business-y detours or no.

Where Are We?

Chloe's completely done with the audio and it's now in my (questionably) capable hands. In addition, I've just received a few final art revision from Felipe, which is a welcome sight. I've still got a few more animations to prep before I can begin synching everything up, but omens are good. Because of the schedule shifts and openings I mentioned in the last progress update, we have ample time to get the video prepped and then some... I think.

It's a hefty one though, and I suspect it'll punch above its weight. Pretty sure I'm ready, but who can ever tell with art~?

What's Next?

Well, after I'm done with the animations, I still have to put together our "brand integration" with World Anvil. Basically, this is how we're going to represent their branding against ours to establish their presence in the video. I want it to make an impact, so I'm going quite hard at that as well. It won't eat up too much of the video, so in the short time it's on the screen it'll really, really need to make an impression.

After that, the synching process shouldn't be too hard. Some videos have little quirks like additional voices, sound bites, etc., etc., but this one is very straightforward. I've just gotta re-time the animations to match the words I'm saying. Not tricks, no sucker punches. This video's a tough one, but it's being very honest with me for the most part, which I appreciate.

I suspect that has a lot to do with Felipe's help, though...

Anything Else?

Gen Con! The time is fast approaching, and I want to enjoy myself while I'm there, but I also want to try and make good use of my time. So, if I'm more diligent than usual, expect lots of pictures and posts about our adventures at the convention!

In the mean time, I'm just trying to get as much work in as possible before we pack up and ship out. Still, much better than attempting to rush the whole video out before it's time. This is the kind of hurry I can deal with.
