Update on the Upgrade...

TLDR: After finding a good weekend to start the upgrade, extending those days because of problems, I am finally almost back.

Day 1 - 2, 14th - 15th Dec.

Doing tons of backups to an unstable external drive. Moving upgrade till next weekend...

Day 3, 22nd Dec.

Doing some final backups of changed data and starting to break the computer apart. A small fever is starting to emerge... But I have to finish it now. The 2 x m.2 drives are in, the 3 x SSD drives are in, the new RAM & CPU cooler has been replaced and a PSU Shroud has been installed, so it is time for a quick test, back in with the 1080Ti and the old SSD with Windows installed on... things works, but the RAM is still not doing 3200 MHz, only 2667 Mhz. Oh, well, at least they are faster now. Shut it down, and in with the last parts, the SSHD, the 2 x HDD, and the secondary GPU. Time to install Windows 10 on a high-speed M.2 SSD... what is the time now? Oh:

Day 4, 23rd Dec 00:09

Installing Windows on M.2 is quickly done, then I just need to format the new drives, start the restoration of the backups,.. wait, why does it keep disconnecting? Let's try it in USB2, ok, stable here, but slow as hell (if hell exists). Bedtime.

Waking up, back to restore data,.. 17 hours, really? And that is only the first part :o

Day 5 - 7, 24th Dec - 26th Dec

Continue to restore backups. And software installations. Strange issues with some of my scenes; the cyberpunk armor is now fucked, so I have to recreate it (once the original creator has fixed his/her problems with it).

Day 8, 27th Dec

Yesterday I noticed that the secondary 1080 GPU wasn't active at all, so time for some debugging and after an hour or so, I came to the conclusion that if I have an M.2 card in the second slot, then the last PCI-E slot will be disabled or not working... so I had to move it closer to the other card leaving very little room for airflow.
