I've been seeing multiple furry YouTube channels skyrocket in popularity due to shorts. Zeekayart, frost fox and Starberry dream all having grown 100k subs within 2-5 months a piece.

I'm interested in running an experiment to test growth. My main concerns are:

If I do the experiment on my main channel

- it will gain subscribers of a different demographic that will not like my longform content. Leading to large numbers, but very minimal view count.

If I create a separate channel:

- I will have a second channel I have little interest in continuing but will be a better control group to catalog impact.

I'm at an impasse, I could irreparably alter the demographic on my channel, potentially invite more minors to my content and diminish the reach of my current videos. but alternatively, I could post just enough shorts that can help the channel reach a demographic of 18-24y

So with all things considered I'll be attempting a 28 day challenge of posting 2 shorts a week (Mon/Fri) with a regular video on Wednesday once I get my fursuit created sometime in,, August? We'll see what happens!
