And we're ready! Phew!

My friends, this model took WAY longer than I anticipated! It felt a bit frustrating at times, because at the end of the day it's just a "simple" out of the box build! But it's an interior kit, and a riveted tank that needed some modifications... and working with a riveted tank is very different compared to a regular, welded model. The overall workmanship has to be more precise, there's very little room for error and you gotta work "clean" so to say.

The driver's observation cabin was a model all on itself, I had to sand and remove every molded detail because of the additional armor plating represented in the kit that isn't on the tank I'm building, and then it was about adding the missing bolts, rivets, some missing details, scratchbuilding new hinges in 3D (these took some trial, error, and adjustments) and it just took a few days to get that small cabin done...

But the model is now ready for painting and by that I mean the interior so I can glue the hull together, because right now, it's just held together with Tamiya tape!

Oh, and also, because this one took so long to assemble, I won't have the video ready for early release today. I'm very sorry for that, but sadly, I'm just a human 🥵

And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! And we're ready! Phew! If it was a girl you'd say she's ugly but has a great personality. :)

Those are just asking for a lot of post-shading and textured pre-dusting!

Great stuff Martin. Proper clunky looking tanks. Interested to see the weathering process on such large area such as the sides.
