Movie Night we are moving into the bedroom with a triple idle mocap, Enviro is a full apartment Day/Night/Nobake, the look is on the screenshot (but I'm leaning towards a blonde). Why not sure about the look and the environment making it this week? If Baking gives me a bad surprise I will post-pone it so I can focus on the new scene. Same for the look.

Scene will be on time

Final stages here, just need to do an expression pass on the animations, scripting (no complicated scripting this time), camera boundaries, spawn point. Lots of stuff has been made since I last wrote: more sea beasts, more flora & fauna, more lighting (pulsating), props to make this environment more believable, TV and TV-integrated UI, ambience sfx, optional music and so on. Just a lot of atmospheric stuff so that it's cool to even chill in the scene, not to mention the "gameplay" animations themselves.

I am aiming for the 3rd, if I will finish on everything tomorrow, I will use the spare time to add a fun interactive mechanic with one of the sea creatures and animate an extra Idle.

Environment in motion

I strayed away from green-ish tint for the inside. I can't quite explain it, it doesn't seem to make the skin look attractive for me?... Maybe because green lighting is often associated with horror. Anyway, if I will have time for it, I will just make 3 toggleable options: greenish blue, blue-blue, pinkish red. It's not hard to do at all.

Progress on the underwater environment

Ported lots of assets, the flora and fauna will be more fictional than realistic, I like a lot of glowing alien plants for this setting.

Pretty much done with static things for now, time to add some cool animated beasts and cuties to the scene!

[Update] Bath with MILF

  • cleaned some dependencies.

  • fixed collision trigger parenting during "FP" segment. I've tried using Mac's HoldParentLink before, but even that didn't help. It is now parented by Timeline, and that method never breaks.

  • made water drips to be animated during shower poses.

  • added BetterBends plugin functionality.

  • added HandAnimator functionality to some specific animations.

Basic version:

  • added 10 minute shower mocap, making this an alternative showering animation for the scene.

Extended version:

  • added "Standing" position adult animation. It features 3 speed modes which are toggled automatically but can also be called directly via dialogue.

[Hotfix] Serving the Lady

  • fixed camera spawning outside camera boundaries after disabling Embody, resulting in black screen forced fade-out.

  • scripted-in safeguard fade-in trigger to fix fade-in trigger failing due to VAM hiccups.

[Paid Scene] Serving the Lady

On a road with a noblewoman, Roderick is to take care of the camping arrangements. When he stumbles across Lady Lacroix' set of alchemy potions, he gets an idea....

A voiced little mini-story with three different outcomes, one for each choice. The scene is set in a vibrant night environment where a sense of seclusion further reinforces the experience.

Aside from the meticulously crafted Intro sequence, there are 6 "gameplay" animations in the Basic version, with Extended version unlocking additional 3 animations featuring penetration.

Progress report

Everything has been implemented except voice acting and some sfx. I have already gotten the samples (there are 38 of them), so the next 2 days are for implementing voice acting and testing. A whole lot of testing.

So 13th I am confident I will be able to release, not sure about Hub post though, because a lot needs to be recorded. So maybe Hub post will be 14th.

New scene progress: 9 adult poses

Ok, all 9 poses are in.... Most of them require a final pass: expressions, VAMMoan scripting, a couple require orgasm animations. I don't think I've ever released a scene with 9 "gameplay" poses at launch, have I? I think 7 or 8 was the maximum. Plus 6 poses will have orgasm mechanics.

Now that all poses are mostly done, I will weave them into the scripting, once everything is triggerable through the UI, I will return to them and finish them up.

Things left to do:

  • final pass on poses. Expressions & orgasms.

  • final pass on pose scripting. VAMMoan, etc.

  • post-gameplay ending animation. Basically her sleeping with UI offering you to replay the scene.

  • integration of poses into potion selection choice consequences.

  • missing dialogue roleplay involved with above-mentioned integration.

  • add voice acting lines. As always, you can toggle them off.

  • scene UI. The UI has been set up, but without triggers at this moment. Also script in UI positions so you guys can always see it no matter the pose.

And that's it! I didn't mean the scene to be this big, but maybe it deserves to be. I think it will probably be 2-3 days late from my goal of releasing it at 10th. 9 poses is a lot of work :)

P.S. I decided against including the foot-fetish mocap I showed earlier because it has an inevitable physics crash. I spent enough time trying to find out what was the problem, so I instead just animated my own animation. It's the foot fetish one inside the tent in the screenshots above. I am actually happier with that one, it's pretty exotic.

Animating characters with objects

If you've watched Valve's Half Life 2 documentary, you probably remember how they talk it's a pain in the butt aligning objects to characters. This is true! For example, here we have to give our girl the flask. Timeline does a perfect job aligning an object to a character, but how do we seamlessly switch two alignments (between the two chars)?

We can bang ourselves against the wall for a long time trying to match two alignments (like I did in Haven for Thought), or we can use a bit of planning. One object can be aligned perfectly to both hands if it is done at the same time from the same position!

So first, we have it aligned to male's hand and we animate the male's "giving" animation (or rather, half of it) just to move the flask into place (pic. 1).

Then we want the girl's hand to be holding the flask right at the same spot, so we can align it at the moment she would take it. So we puppeteer the hand with our controller for natural motion, bring it more or less at the flask and then stop (pic. 2). We need precision here, so now we will keyframe the hand exactly where we want her to grab it and pose the fingers accordingly (pic. 3).

Now we are at a perfect spot for transitioning alignments. In my case, this is done via separate Timeline controlling the flask. So I take already existing animation "atmalehand" and make a new one with the same position. I simply de-attach the flask Control from male's hand and attach it to female's hand without moving anything.

I've set blend duration to 0.3s so all we have to do now is account for that in our animation (let the flask giving moment hang in there for 0.3s so that the flask align transition is settled).

We have succesfully given her the flask! We can now finish both animations: male getting back into idle and her transitioning into her drinking anim (pic. 4).

We've just spent at least 40min doing 9s of animation :D But that's normal, as long as it looks great. I still have some issues to fix within the drinking itself, so I'm hard at work at adult animations so that I will have spare time for that fix.

Scene interaction - potion choice

She sends you to bring her some wine, and this is where you can add the extra ingredient. These look so much better when each is animated!

Meanwhile the entire Intro is fully playable and all conditions are scripted. Everything from the initial dialogue, building the campsite, her sending you for wine, mixing potions in, giving her the flask with the mix is fully playable and animated. I have to only do some potion-specific dialogue (for potions taking effect) and UI framework for cycling through poses for each pose-branch. Then it's just however many poses I will be able to include.

The bare minimum is 2 potions, so 6 poses. I'd like 3 potions, so 9 poses. I will try my best.

Tomorrow I will talk about the animation of giving her the flask, since these are very challenging to do, I think it is an interesting process to talk about.

Scene interaction: building a camp

This post was for yesterday. I had no Internet so didn't make it. I still don't have connection today but tired of waiting, so I'm making one with my phone. Post meant for today will be later today.

Building an encampment quickly so that we can tell this visually instead of me explaining this in text. I have already animated all of the potion choices \ pouring potions into the flask \ pouring wine into the flask and even captured a video, but decided that first I'm going to add proper particles & sfx and only then show you.

So for today - camp building.

Other than that I have scripted the basis for potion effects, i.e. framework that chooses the outcome depending on which potion is selected. Expanded the dialogue also. I am not a native English speaker so I basically can not write a proper "High English" grammar speech, but luckily there is apparently an actual translator Simple English -> Advanced English, so that I can use that as an inspiration to write her speaking proper noble language!

Story-wise last things I need to do is animate her taking & drinking the potion, commenting the effect. After that, it's pure adult poses work & wrapping the scene: sfx, minor details, Q&A etc.

Progress report

  • since we have 1 "branch" fully playable now, I'm focusing on the actual Intro & mechanics and the animations to support it.

  • animated & scripted & made dialogue for the first part of the Intro sequence. She will sit above you on the cart ordering you to set up camp (here you can get real nice sneak peek you know where into). Once you're done doing the prompts, she will move to the campfire where you can once again engage in a dialogue where she will eventually ask for some wine. Everything up to sitting beside her near campfire is 100% playable, I still need to script taking different potions and animate player giving her the filled flask, her drinking it and reacting to it.

  • after I have all gameplay & UI set up, I will simply plug the poses in (ones currently done and ones I will do).

  • also added some small assets & details like food, making some assets more visible in the dark, torch mechanic which can be wall-mounted, held by a character or held by your POV camera, added mechanic preventing you flying out of the playable zone with your camera, etc.

I don't like showing the intro parts of my scenes so there are none today, and besides you have already seen screenshots of her sitting by campfire and on top of the cart. This wasn't animated at the time. I don't have much non-adult animation left to do, but giving a person an object in VAM is not easy to do, so it will, as always, be a challenge.

Preview: Lust Potion

First potion is of Lust, this makes your mistress to step beyond her boundaries and use your body for her pleasure despite the difference in status. As you can see, this is the "femdom playthrough". Each potion will unlock a soft foreplay, spicier foreplay, and then sex.

The clothes combination for this playthrough is just her naked but in a cloak. I really enjoy how it is both revealing and concealing depending on the pose.

The picture marked with a yellow cross is the soft foreplay for this interaction set. Whoever is first to guess where that animation is taken from gets a free month of Supporter Tier! Write in the comments ONLY! So that the answers are public.

I've decided to not lock a certain potion behind Extended version, instead Basic will get 2\3 interactions with Extended getting the final climax (sex). This lets me easily add more potions in updates further down the road retaining our usual balance between Basic and Extended versions.

I might invest into mocap in 2026

The biggest problem was the girl. I have been doing diplomacy and we might, again, might have one. So in 2026 I will see how winds will flow.

This is not a post where I will ask for money for mocap rig because this Patreon can afford it as long as people support it the way they were anyway.

I think it's pointless to describe advantages of doing it (even though at first it will not be easy getting the quality you guys are spoiled with nowadays by experienced mocappers), but the point I want to bring across is that I really enjoy "slice of life" type of small scenes, kind of stuff you can just dive into and experience. That's the kind of stuff that got me into VAM and I think that's the kind of stuff VAM is good for. Motion capture will really improve not only the quality but also the workflow of making that type of stuff. I've done enough of "many switch poses" scenes to just keep updating them and not breeding them for years to come.

Mocap would greatly punch-up the snippets and Passion's Bite type of scene. So that we can have even more diverse array of releases.

One mega-scene will also become an option, but I will have to carefully consider what I want and what I don't want to do with it.

[Update] Sex in Vegas

  • cleaned the scene UI from atoms in Edit mode.

  • fixed accidential pop-out during Missionary #1.

  • fixed VAMAOcclusion being active even when player is inside the room.

  • potential fix: person physics crash on scene load. This was not properly reported by "victims" of this bug, so the predominant version remains is them mishandling vam version and dependencies. However, the scene did not .force a pose on scene load like my other scenes do, so the person atoms are tangled up during the load. Now the pose is forced on scene load, I don't promise it will solve the issue, but it might.

  • renamed "DOGGY" into "BEHIND" and "COWGIRL" into "RIDE" for more universality for describing future poses.

Basic version:

  • added 2 new "prone bone" type poses inside "BEHIND" category:

Extended version:

  • added plugin-based "Orgasm" mechanic across all poses. It is accessible via UI. Using it stops current animation during the cool down, re-toggle the animation if you want keep playing it.

[Bugfix] Russian Banya Experience

  • fixed dialogue trigger not firing after whisking her back. You can now properly progress this sequence in Tutorial mode.

  • updated to BetterBends 3, added separate BB morphs for more manual squish on poses. Please delete all previous BetterBends versions from your AddonPackages folder to avoid bugs! This is important!

  • Cleaned some dependencies, now with proper references.

[WIP] Scene progress report #1

  • further adjusted her morphs and clothing.

  • pose-prototyped 4 out of planned 9 playable poses. Posing an animation is not the hardest, but it is the most creative part. This is where it is decided what exactly will be happening, including lighting angles, testing what impression it gives in VR, etc.

  • added potion assets & drawn scene-approriate labels to them.

  • set up progressive asset-isation of the scene for the Intro - you will first build the tent, then set up a campfire, then upack the cart. Nothing fancy - just toggles.

Aside from that here is the scenery I believe I haven't shown you before. I have collected needed assets and ported quite a few as well to create this medieval camping site. Surrounded by rock formations, it creates a very secluded and intimate feeling, when nothing could disturb you two.

You will be able to have your Lady drink one of 3 magic potion types: Potion of Love\Lust\Obedience, changing her behaviour and granting you these types of interactions respectfully: Classic erotic\Femdom\Submissive. Each choice will consist of 3 animations of increasing intensity (from foreplay to sex). I plan to accomodate everything with a voiced dialogue too for the roleplay. Needless to say, one of the potions will be reserved for Extended version. 4th potion is Potion of Forgetting, this is how you can have her loose memory.

So there are three ways to play through the scene, with Potion of Forgetting letting you try 2 ways to interact during one playthrough. I plan to also have her undress depending on the type of interaction, for example Love has her most-dressed, soft core type, where Lust has her naked with only her huge cloak on (kind of stuff you would see in BDSM when it's not just latex), this adds to different impressions through clothing choice as well.

[Paid Scene] Scene snippet #4 - Shower Affair

Experience some hot shower action in this mini-scene! Features 1 quality customizable animation, chest offset adjustments so that bigger-breasted ladies don't end up clipping through the glass, and brand-new adjustable expressions!

The latter is me finally finding a solution in one of HAL's plugins for the long-standing problem: most morphs don't fit all looks. Now you can set the expression morph strength used in the scene yourself so that they never look uncanny on your girl! I will be using this solution moving forward for sure.

[Preview] Scene snippet #4 Caught in the Shower

I think the animation turned out insane! I've done everything, including the mini-UI, last things to do are some mechanics to help you overcome unwanted collision with the glass with her hands if using irregular body and I'm waiting on some sfx: "thump" against glass and "slide" against glass.
