My friends, our little friend over here is done and he can now proudly show off with that thicc oscillating turret behind him. 😁

I used the glazing base coating method on his skin tones as well. Same way as I did on the Jagdpanther crew, but this time I tried to keep the highlights at bay so he wouldn't look so pale. Glazing with more radical tones - blues on the stubble, reds on the cheeks, ears and eyes, greens on the temples, and yellow on the forehead, was also much easier when I added paint drying retarder.

Then it was about the most painful part of the process - destroying some of the shading with earth effects! 😫Here I used Wilder's dark textured earth - I know they're out of production but it's the only dark, matte texture paste I have, and it felt less barbaric than using the shiny AK mud paste. This process was basically about integrating him "into" the model. I also added some mud piles on the hull, as if he climbed up over the wheels and tracks. Yes, this effect could be applied over the entire model, but I was too shy to do that 😁

I also used oil paints to add more subtle stains on his uniform. These are awesome because you have better control over the opacity and pretty much everything!

Well, I've got some interesting footage from the process, so I'll put that together now. Also, I'll try out an interesting idea for the scenic base, but if the 3D sketch won't look okay, I'll rather have the model stand on its own and move on to the WW1 diorama.
