Patreon Wednesday... um, Thursday

Seeing as the first of the month has become a bit of a dump of content, I thought I'd save this update until the next day. Apologies for that.

I'm still, even after two years, still getting to grips with Patreon and what it can and can't do. I've now worked out how to whittle the plethora of different compendia into a single post, but didn't have the time to fix that this month so, next month, there will be JUST ONE compendium post for all tiers, with links to ALL content. It's just that, if you're not in the right patron tier, if you follow a link that's not unlocked for your tier, you won't be able to see the content.

I'm also going to eke out the new content a little, with the Rule of the Month and Mission of the Month landing at different times to the compendium.

So from October, no more massive First of the Month content dumps.

Meanwhile, I accidentally and permanently deleted a ton of video content from my laptop. This has no effect on you guys except that I lost one video I had planned to share with you and will now have re-record it (boo!). But it also means that I have to re-build a whole bunch of supporting stuff - introductions, outros, and suchlike.

This is an opportunity as much as a problem, because it means I get to re-record stuff I didn't like the first time, acquire new music for the videos and apply some of the new skills and assets I've acquired along the way to make my new videos look a smidgen more professional.

I would love to make the backgrounds of my videos look smarter, but I genuinely can't decide whether that's actually important or even necessary. Does the "cluttered studio" look like I'm a busy designer? Or just badly organized? Would a green screen be distracting and artificial or a useful focus? What if I just had a tidy background (not sure where I'd get one as all of my walls are kind of occupied, but I could try)?

Let me know what you think.

Meanwhile, more game news coming. I'll be working on FEAR more over the next few days, and remember you can just let me know if you'd like to peek at my working document as I polish it up.
