It's My Birthday (nearly)

Thank you, so much, for supporting Precinct Omega over the last year and more. By the end of August, I will have turned 46, which is a daunting prospect. But instead of looking inward, I prefer to share the love. So I'm offering a discount of 23% (that's 1% for every year of my time on this ship of fools) on all of my paid-for digital products.

THESE CODES WILL BE LIVE ON SATURDAY 21ST AUGUST. As Patrons, you are getting advance warning. I know that most of you already own whichever of these interest you, but you are 100% allowed to share these links with friends, general social media and whatever if you'd like to promote the game in your local scene.

Horizon Wars: Zero Dark

Zero Dark: Operation Nemesis

Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark

Horizon Wars: Over The Horizon

But wait! For the first 46 customers (that's one for... you get the idea) to click the links, you can get the same discount on the PRINT edition of each of these:

Horizon Wars: Zero Dark

Zero Dark: Operation Nemesis

Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark*

Horizon Wars: Over The Horizon

I hardly ever discount the print editions, simply because the margin is small enough that there's only so far I can cut before I'm making no money at all, but IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

I'm going to celebrate by joining in a Lovecraftian horror D&D one-shot at my local board game café and then hopefully spending the rest of the day at my painting desk. But I expect my family will insist I do something social-norm-conforming as well.

And a last thing, while I have your attention: wargamers can find themselves in dire straits, for no fault of their own, as easily as anyone else. Natural disaster, illness, job-loss and family displacement can affect us all and, when things are tough, our games of toy soldiers can seem like a wasteful use of limited time and money. But this attitude can end up affecting our mental health and making bad situations worse if we deprive ourselves of a valued medium for relaxation and a sense of normality. If you or someone you know is facing financial hardship and you think you or they would enjoy a Precinct Omega game, please let me know at precinctomega@gmail.com. I am collaborating with other gamers to put together Hardship Collections - small packets of miniatures, rules and resources to help wargamers keep enjoying their hobby even through the toughest of times. In a world beset with troubles, this can sound like a trivial thing, but sometimes it is the little things that matter.

*No, I've not updated it yet. I actually plan to remove it from sale on 1st September so I can upload the amended cover art. I'll give patrons a fresh discount code for the print edition when it's up.

Cheers!

Robey
