kdramas & bl recs!

So I know a few of you had mentioned that you guys are also into kdramas/bl and I think it would be fun to watch some of your favs that I haven't seen yet! I kinda want to just get a feel for what you guys would like to see, so on this post you guys can recommend some that you want me to watch and then ill make a poll to decide what to watch first! I'll be looking for the most liked recommendations to enter the poll!
Attached is a photo of all of the shows in categories that I've seen so far! (now that I'm sharing this I kinda feel insane for keeping a log butttttt its fine lol I just forget easily) but also a pic from its okay to not be okay (my fav kdrama of all time) just bc I love them hehe :)
I will not be making different tiers for shows, as some patreon accounts do. Tbh I thought about it but ultimately I'm just here to have a good time and I don't want you guys to have to do anything extra for that. So everything will just live here. Just noting so you guys know you wont have to change anything!

Its like a medical mystery Thai bl that tackles some heavy topics and i think is quite a unique watch and ngl i just watched it also bcos i love the actors of the main couple HAHA

2024-05-20 21:46:47 +0000 UTCI just want to add some detective k-dramas: Bad Boys 1 & 2, Tunnel, Signal, Mad Dog, Hiller, Remember You, Queen of Mystery 1 & 2 and some romance-comedy my favorites that I watched at least twice: Oh my Venus, It’s Ok It’s Love, Kill Me Heal Me, Jealousy Incarnate, Warm and Cozy, My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox, Madam Antoine, Why Secretary Kim— all are old dramas, but I love them. Some Historical+Fantasy: Empress Ki( too long but sooo good), Moon Lover⚠️(tears), Mr. Queen(funny), Gu Family Book, Under the Queen’s Umbrella. From last I watched maybe Welcome to Samdalri and Deaths Game⚠️. Also I want to add some were Monsta X appeared: High-end Crush, The Best Hit

There is only 1 season but they did get renewed for a second season coming soon. He also plays in the show vincenzo. Which is a super popular show if you didn’t know. He did a full interview on the Eric nam show completely in English. The show is really good I promise!! He such an amazing actor as well..This is a link for the trailer. 2024-05-20 18:18:01 +0000 UTCI think my absolute favs so far has to be Bad Buddy (Thai bl) and Word of Honor (cdrama/ bl)!! I also really enjoyed watching He's Coming to Me (Thai bl). Other Thai bls i rmb enjoying but are lower on my list are Theory of Love (heartwrenching but can be quite frustrating) and Love By Chance (main couple is cute but there are certain aspects of this drama that made me quite uncomfy - TW SA/harrassment, incest ?? its been a while so im not too sure of specifics). Also enjoyed Love by Chance 2 which focuses on a side couple with their story rewritten and in my opinion is better than their original story in the first (however other side couple(s) in this still remained quite distressing to watch). (are you be open to watching animations! or do you mainly stick with real people dramas HAHA i wld be happy to give more recs if you enjoy animation too!)

2024-05-20 05:03:36 +0000 UTCThe Red Sleeve Cuff I love historical dramas and this one is my favorite so I have to promote it. It has Junho (from 2 PM) in it and he was the first idol actor to receive the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor for this show. Lee Se Young plays the female lead and she is one of my favorite actress and just breathes life into this character. She also won an award at the MBC Drama Awards for this show. Warning though it is sad and emotional,l and the romance includes imbalanced power dynamics. I'm saying that because I stopped watching it at first because the imbalance never goes away but it's one of the themes of the show.

I've only seen season one of Tale of the Nine Tailed. Season two is on my to watch list. Those are my all time favorites. I also enjoyed Romance Is A Bonus Book, Revolutionary Love, She Was Pretty, Touch Your Heart, Suspicious Partner, Rich Man Poor Woman (EXO's Suho stars in this one), and Cinderella and the Four Knights to name way too many.

2024-05-20 02:48:50 +0000 UTCim surprised you havent watched the glory! thats like the most popular kdrama from last year. so i definitely want to see that. my no1 top kdrama is Beyond Evil. you can count this as a BL if you want to 🤭 theres no romance, but the writer itself had mentioned she implied something is going on between the two main characters ❤️ personally for me this is top enemies to lovers excellence. won best kdrama of 2021 baeksang awards. this will NOTT let you down. yeo jingoo is one of the leads and you may remember him from hotel del luna with IU 🥹 my 2nd fav kdrama is Save Me. i have to warn its super2 dark and its about cults so please be in the right mindspace for this. The main actress is actually Seo Yeji (literally the woman in the photo, iotnbo actress 😭) and she had to take a break after filming the drama bc it gave her depression. but arguably this is her BEST drama ever. i recommended 3 kdramas with heavy themes in a row 😭 psychological thriller is my fav genre i guess.. now a lighthearted kdrama would be twenty five twenty one 2521. this is the drama DK sang the opening ost!! (and he literally just sang it in concert 2 days ago lol) this is just fun and vibes.. love every single character here so much. kim taeri won best actress for this, she never misses i swear. wow i love kdramas so much ❤️

2024-05-20 02:39:17 +0000 UTCTbh the only kdramas I’ve seen somewhat recently are Strangers from hell and Idol Mart, the one Hyungwon and Xiumin are in. I’ve thought about watching Moving. And the only BL I’ve actually seen is The Untamed/CQL (definitely recommend) 😅 I tend to watch way more English tv series but I’ll still watch along whatever! 😁
