2025-12-13 00:44:08 +0000 UTCohhh “i’m your man” was a song that absolutely broke me last year lol i was at a really dark time with my boyfriend and would play the song alll the time… it’s interesting listen to it again now that it’s been a while and me and my boyfriend are doing good. still hurts but it’s such a beautiful song. definitely my favorite mitski song writing wise

2025-12-10 00:00:49 +0000 UTCoh to hear bug like an angel for the first time.. i love the jumpscare she gives us lol. and honestly i can't never understand how some people don't like this album. i think it's definetly in my top 3 from her, maybe only behind puberty 2 and bury me but oh well that always changes depending on my mood. my favorite from this album HAS to be my love mine all mine, it's such a beautiful song, it makes me tear up every time. this is what she said about the song: "So, I was thinking about how I don’t actually have anything of my own that I can keep. I very luckily have some material things, but every material thing goes away eventually. They get lost, broken, stolen, or just deteriorate, including my body once I die. This will all become nothing. And I was thinking about, ‘Well, what do I have that’s really actually mine, that can’t be taken away?’ And I know this is corny, but I was really thinking it’s this love I feel in me, that I’ve created in me, that I’ve built in me, that I’ve held on to, and it’s mine for as long as I want it, for as long as I don’t give it up or let the world take it from me. And I really do believe it’s, to love is the best thing I ever did in my life, better than any song I’ve ever written, better than any achievement by far. To love is truly the best and most beautiful thing I ever did.
