~Pipes)

(Edit: 8.4.22 The Raw OBJ GhostShrimp files are up on CG&T and the supported files should be added in the next few days. With any luck I'll have those back tomorrow~

As always if they're not showing up, hit the "Check for new downloads" button, but also keep in mind that traffic's gonna be a bit heavier for a bit.

___________

Heyyo everybody, it's that time of the month for another main kit post~

This time I wanted to re-create the older SilverFish, and bring them in line with the current aesthetic. I tried incorporating some motifs from the originals, but wanted to try a few new things with them as well. The result is what ended up being a very large kit. There are a ton of preposed pieces like with the gobies, but I've also included a handful of variants (of the mostly the arm pieces) so that adventurous folks can pose them as they want. Like the goby kits there will be preposed file included that can be opened in something like Blender to pose and export yourself as well.

Another thing I did with this kit is the stealth effect I wanted to do with the original SilverFish, but I didn't feel I could really pull it off at the time. But I think I managed to get something really cool here with this one. These work as replacement pieces and can be mixed and matched onto the existing non stealthy pieces, as kinda shown with the bits spread. They might not work with 100% of some of the preposed pieces, but they should work with most~

While this kit doesn't have the magnet chops that some of my other kits do, I think it's still pretty versatile overall, and I am very pleased with how it all came together.

For anyone new here the Raw .obj files are usually added to CG&T on the 3rd or 4th of the month with the pre-supported and pre-plated files going up whenever I get them back from Atlas3DSS, and run them through my printer for testing~ This is usually before the 10th of the month.

___

For next month I'm gonna be working through a pair of bombers, and then the following month after that I plan to finally take on a bipedal version of the Narwhal.
I'll also be making a poll on the discord to kinda get a vibe for what remaining units are more popular then others so I can try to roughly plan out the remaining months kits using that data as a guide~
And lastly a question I've been getting a bit lately:
"Hey Piper, what are you gonna do after the mech?"
And I'm here to tell you that the current working plan for after the mech is definitely wraith constructs. I'm gonna have to come up with a cool name for them when I actually start getting closer to that xD But aesthetically modeled in a way that they're more stand alone then the current line of mech I'm working on. I've got some cool plans in my head for them, but they're still a ways off from now~

Anyway, I do hope you all enjoy Augusts kit (once you can get your hands on it), I had a lot of fun modeling it~

There is no download link, the months subs are automatically added to your CG&T library, which is outlined in the welcome message~ ~Pipes

Poyper

oh where is the download link for these in the post? :(

Robert Johnson

No! Dead pointy-eared guys before dead skull-faced guys!! 😁😉

B. Griffith

Oh, I thought you were talking about robots that are just as old, but more skeletal and metallic... Would love to see your take on those!

Kyle Bentley

Something like that~ ~Pipes

Poyper

It probably just went over my head, but what are Wraith Constructs? Like Eldar Wraiths?

Carter

You could center the wraith naming convention on birds, parrots specifically. "Evil : God isn't interested in technology. He cares nothing for the microchip or the silicon revolution. Look how he spends his time, forty-three species of parrots! Nipples for men! Robert : Slugs. Evil : Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery."

Daniel Sniadoski

Pretty original set, I love everything you've done and how it looks in the end. Great job!

YourMagnet_adult_version

Good lord this makes me want to run Stealth suits. I'm at least doin' up a few.

Frozen foods

Mind. Blown.

James Rowley

Weird, porcelain ball-jointed is good. 😉👍

B. Griffith

On paper yeah~ but in my head I'm describing them as weird porcelain ball-jointed things of void. But that's what I'm gonna be working around conceptually. They're gonna be weird I think xD

Poyper

“Wraith” as in dead space elves?? If that’s what you meant, I might just collapse from joy overload.

B. Griffith

These blow my mind. I really like that you went with ribbon cables on the limbs.

daniel schmitt

I'm intrigued to see what you make in the wraith construct style. Looks like I'm stuck here for the long haul...

Kyle Bentley

Waiting for mine, I think it said wave 2.. Also all the way on board with Wraith constructs!

Dale Colton

They're actually gonna be the maiden unit out of the Saturn2 now that I have it dialed in~ (and when I get the presupports back xD)

Poyper

Shas’O Pi’per Mega 8k is coming online shortly. Will report to the sept in full army materialization experiments in preparation for the next crusade. Advanced stealth tech prototypes will be leading the production queue.

Michael Moon

I love love love the stealth FX

Dan Couturier

Bombers is what I’ve been waiting for 🤩 Amazing work as usual.

Phil Eaton

These are awesome! Also, wraith constructs would be amazing!
