4 Player Party

Wow, so many new supporters in the last few days? Who advertised where? Thanks for that... so much interest motivates me! A warm welcome to my new supporters... stay tuned to find your name in a possible "work in progress" release.

In the video you can see the new engine. The first one used a trick to update a big part of the graphics as fast as possible but it was limited in the colours (like for example the black background), I changed it to the normal method which is slower but looks a lot better now... in my opinion, what do you think?

- every 10 lines the level increases (NES-speed)
- garbage lines are sent to the player with the lowest playfield (no targeting)
- deleted garbage lines are not counted (no score or garbage)

At the moment the AI is a bit slow and plays at a beginner's level, but it works and there is still a lot of potential for improvement.

All features can be turned off, such as the ghostpiece, the shake (inserted only for fun and testing) and the hold function.

Don't worry, I'm experimenting with many different gameplay elements and effects at the moment, but since I never know if they will work as intended or possibly interfere with others, they are all always optional or permanently deactivated. However, even though this 'shake' looks a bit irritating in the video, it works well as feedback and feels very natural.

I agree with Andy on this one! It is mind boggling to me how you moved the entire playfield per player and I love the effect! However I do feel it would be a bit distracting. Hey you can toggle the effect on/off so to each their own! Amazing stuff!

MegaShocked

Nice progress! The shaking effect looks funny and adds a "competing feeling" to the scenery. Looking forward to see the new design on my CRT monitor ( ๑•ꇴ•๑ ) ♡

NeoHomeBrew

This is shaping up really nicely! I'm happy to hear about all the new Patreons. Hopefully, it makes development a little bit easier. =-)

Think ide have to turn the shake off would drive me nuts! But looks great!
